I was playing with Lala and it can take quite some time to get your library up there. I don't remember how long it took ultimately, but it was a multi-day process. It's still not done yet, about 2,000+ songs left, but I haven't had a chance to finish it.

I have the MX W1 wireless earbuds and the SQ is pretty good. Of course, they are more for convenience than SQ.

Neat app for scrobbling songs to Last.FM: ShareTunes It's pretty spartan, you enter your Last.FM account details and then select songs from the iPod app as you would an On-the-go-playlist. It doesn't save the playlist between launchings, which is a bit annoying.... it won't scrobble songs unless you're in the app. So there are some caveats. But it was the cheapest scrobble app I could find. Simplify Music 2 will also scrobble songs.

^^That's not going to help the jitter figures.

We got one of the Roku boxes for Christmas... it's been fun. So far the connection is good and I haven't had any picture issues. Overall I like it, but finding a movie in a long list is cumbersome and awkward. I hope that implement some sort of search feature so you don't have to just scroll through multiple titles.

Congrats to you... there's nothing better! It can be harrowing. Keep in mind anything you buy now will need to be replaced somewhere between 9-12 mos. as the child grows. We went with the Graco Snugride 32. So far so good. The upside is that it fits with a bunch of other Graco stuff (like their strollers). So you have a bit of a modular system. The other nice thing about the Snugride is the detachable bases for the car seats. This means you buy one seat and multiple bases for your cars (or for grandparent's car). We got this system: Graco Quattro Tour Travel System Stroller - Diaz - Graco - Babies "R" Us The stroller is a bit hardcore but it rocks for long day needs and it scales with the child. The infant car seat locks into the stroller and then when the child gets older you just put them in the stroller. Feel free to PM me as well. Baby gear can be a bit of an overload... you'd be surprised how much you DON'T need despite what's available.

Me too man... working at a Univ. during Xmas break is damn near useless. All the big issues I need to resolve are via departments with professors. Those folks won't be back for another week or so.

Nate, do you have the 3G or the 3GS? I've got the 3GS and I've heard that call volume and so forth are improved with the new model. Of course lots of people have trouble with AT&T reception. We're lucky, here in NC AT&T is fairly robust. I've never had a dropped call or poor reception. I'm not much of a phone person though... my wife and I text and email more than anything else.
