  1. Just popping in to thank everyone, past & present, for the best thread on the 802 Series 80 to be found anywhere online. It's now 2019 and as many have already discovered, you have nothing available in terms of parts. So, all the know-how in this thread, dating back to the first decade of the 21st century, is absolutely invaluable. Just this morning on eBay, I found some rare NOS replacement mid drivers at $500 each. I don't necessarily need new drivers, but I'm not paying that kind of money to tune up my 802's. Bottom line, yes, I'm going to keep my speakers because outside of a nice pair of Maggie 3.6's (that my wife will never submit to), I don't think there's a better pair of speakers to be had for me. And they're still sounding very good, but at about 35 years old- they're ancient. I know the crossovers have to need attention and I thinks some new rubber around the old drivers is due. However, in dollars and cents, I'll never get more than, say, $1300 for these speakers and tuning them up beyond a $500 budget just doesn't make sense for me. So, if you had to refurb your 802's with a $500 budget, what would you do?
