  1. I had the two for some time. The DA10 as every bit as much detail and clarity as the DAC1 but does not have the cold sterile sound. The DA10 is very smooth but dont not sacrifice any detail and clarity. It is very plesent to listen to.
  2. I hear the little latch box sounds better then the bigger latch... something about it being more delicate.
  3. What is a duffle coat? You are so British.
  4. I think the limiting factor in your rig is your apparent lack of $$$$$ power cables.
  5. Your comments on the RS1 and PS1 would make sense. They are two very different sonic signatures. I however think it is a fair to generalize about specific phones. Balanced is no different then single-ended when it comes to synergy with specific type amps. I have heard the L3ks with a simple retermination and todd's pair with the blackmax??? I believe. The two balanced K701s that I know of were just simply reterminated as well. Surprisingly enough AKG has two separate ground channels despite the fact that it is single entry... that was sure nice of them CD44hi - I have always liked the 600s better single-ended as I find the 650s to be too dark and muddy sounding to me. Balancing the 650s seems to get rid of the excessive darkness and muddiness in the sound and gives them better balance. The 600s, while I still really like them balanced, just did not fair as well. The 600s seemed to become greatly over emphasized in the bottom end which proved a bit too much for me
  6. I have yet to hear anything that is as drastic as the Senns... the 600 did change a great deal but not as positively as the 650s did for me. The PS-1s were subtle but certainly worth it... they sounded a lot more controled. The L3ks were not drastic either but seemed to gain some authority behind the sound. The K701s I still dont know about... I think I like them equally as well balanced and unbalanced. I really want to hear the RS-1s balanced... so someone feel free to loan me a pair

  9. well the Geek squad just spent the past thingamajiggy hours here looking at my whatsit... they said my whosit was what was causing the whatsit to not function properly. They said something about extended service plan for $23,434.33 dollars and that my thingy will be covered from the whatsit for who knows how long. sounded like a good deal to me.
  10. Well I was told that the whatsits should just slip right into the the whosits once the thing got close enough.
  11. so i am trying to build my computer but I cant get the one thing to fit in the other thing like people are telling me.
