  1. Thats probably true, I cant speak to that, having never owned one, but I remember a controversial news segment around 2 years ago or so that they were cutting service to old blackberries. I would be steaming pissed if that were me. I realize it may be a necessary step, like Microsoft no longer supporting old windows builds, but it certainly gives me pause to consider a blackberry.
  2. Blackberry seems to always have outages and service shut-offs (whats the phrase I'm looking for here?) for their 'legacy' products. I'll take the slow edge over an outright outage any day. I have to admit, as an iphone user, once the 32GB touch dropped, I have been considering ditching the iphone and getting the touch. I use the ipod and web features more than the phone. If they ever make a 64GB touch, I dont think I'll be able to resist.
  3. If its anything like my local library's CD collection, the discs will be scratched to hell and back. Good luck with the ripping
  4. Which is better for a porno.

  6. Lets not start posting vids of the postal service employees. Snuff films are illegal.
  7. My condolences; only one is worth listening to.
  8. So the raid 0 7200s are faster than the raptor? Hmm. I have two raptors in raid 0, that I use for my C drive. And all the programs like photoshop, front page, illustrator, etc. My attitude towards raid 0 is this: You are going to lose the data. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but you will lose it. It may sound counter intuitive, but the C drive just isn't that important to me. I can always reinstall windows. But you can be goddamn sure I put my lossless music elsewhere. I guess you're ok since you have a backup of it. For me, my music is whats important, and for that, I keep backups of my backups
  9. The one piece of advice I can offer is this: write for your audience. For school work, I've found pretty much nothing else matters. If you don't write to your audience, you can expect confusion, disappointment and a poor grade. I made my way to honors English by not reading the complete texts, and writing for my audience
  10. Around 6 terrabyes.
  11. You have a raptor and you put your programs on the 7200 drives?
  12. My guess is they have plenty of big company exclusive contracts and don't feel the threat of competition anymore.

  16. X2 on the first part. No name taking needed.
  17. I think it will take someone releasing an EAC compatible unit to really move units. Something that used EAC right out of the box.
  18. The cadillac of laptop speakers ..no really, we used to listen to CDs on one in my animation class. Much louder than any other laptop I've ever heard. Of course that was back in the Fall of 2004...
  19. I'm debating getting one for mah office music rig. Now if I can just restrain myself from music purchases...i.e. whats plan B?
  20. You forgot coding
  21. 6 Oscar Peterson CDs
  22. Good point.
  23. I was close to getting it, but for that money, I dont know... I think to spend that much on one release, I'd have to at least have heard it a few times first. I have a feeling there will be a bigger benefit to getting the Blu Ray for this release than the vinyl, based purely on the fact that the material was likely all digital to begin with, and that Trent probably had tight control over this material, meaning it was not likely manhandled by an inept mastering team. What will be interesting to see is what the market will bare for the now OOP vinyl, since it was already so expensive to begin with.
  24. I bought the disc, and the flac download was a no-go, so I am using Pirate Bay to get the 320 mp3. I feel so dirty.
