  1. Oil in the ground = money. People like money. People will figure out a way. They always do.
  2. But as demand goes up, oil previously considered un-drillable becomes worth drilling.
  3. link Not offshore, but hey; oil is oil.
  4. It would be a long time before we saw any physical oil, I agree. But having the public aware of new efforts would likely influence the speculation in our favor, I think. It certainly couldn't hurt in that area.\
  5. I think eventually when more Americans have grown tired of financially bleeding out their ass, they'll say screw it and commence with offshore drilling. So many other countries are doing it. Not doing so simply because it might upset environmentalists is a luxury we cant afford. The whole pie-in-the-sky ethanol thing has backfired, and now we have expensive food and no new gas, as opposed to before, when it was just no new gas.
  6. I dunno. I'll leave it up to Luis, I guess
  7. I only use presidential toilet paper; the stuff from the white house. Man that stuff is smooooooth. In a pinch (^^), I'll use pure Asian silk.
  8. what is up w/ that signature, nenso?
  9. Miles Davis - KIND OF BLUE 6 EYE MONO US LP I'm going to arrange for LFF to transfer it for me
  10. I never did any real computer gaming back in high school, so I never really tried Diablo, except for about 5 minutes at someone's house. This looks pretty sweet though. I was impressed with the soundtrack to the trailer. It actually sounded pretty vivid and lush. Not bad for a videogame:p
  11. But alot of the apartments I'm interested in...I don't think speakers would be tolerated, if played above a whisper I'm not truly going to get what I want until I buy a house. Too bad they're like .5 million dollars here now Not in this lifetime, I guess. No way I'm taking on that much debt.
  12. Happy B Day!
  13. I've come very close to getting new speakers, but ultimately decided against it, as I dont know what my living situation will be down the road. Very frustrating. Though my family is apparently planning on getting a beach house, so now I get to try to convince them to designate a room to 'media'. I cant sell them on an 'audio room', but if I sell it to them as 'media', it may work Still a long shot though...\
  14. I'm in
  15. Yeah, dont plan on getting rich in the government, I think. But they can have good, safe health/benefits packages. Of course you may not care about getting rich, idk.
  16. Despite playing Alto sax from elementary school - 10th grade, I only recently began cultivating a real interest in jazz. I think it pretty much started with Time Out (Dave Brubeck Quartet) and Indestructible (Art Blakey). I've pretty much let my ears guide me, but having a list of musicians on albums has been crucial, as I've used those lists to expand my horizons and such. I've not bothered with modern jazz, or at least not in any significant way. Mostly 50s-70s, thus far. There's a wealth of material from that era that dwarfs "classic rock" from a collector's stand point
  17. Thank you kindly
  18. Same. I didnt see 100% of the first season in order, and I think I've yet to see the final season episode. But I've enjoyed all I've seen.
  19. Caught an episode of Burn Notice on Tivo this morning. I think this is my new favorite show.
  20. I haven't read it, but heard of it from my dad. The amount of skewed statistics used as the foundation for the global warming argument is incredible. So much bullshit. Its like George Carlin said; Industrialized nations have been on this planet for 200 years and we have the conceit to think we pose a threat:
  21. link? I was looking for it yesterday.
  22. I'd prefer new Boingo :'(
  23. Plus theres plenty of groups that only play 'standards', having not written any of their own material.
  24. You need to check this out: Sonny playing by himself for the entire concert. Its fucking nuts. You'll catch him intertwining different famous riffs, then he goes off onto another plane, only to wind back to the same riff. Its one of the more unusual jazz albums I've heard.
