  1. Bought 4 of these ikea cd shelves for my computer desk. I like to put my monitor up on them, and other things.
  2. I'm told my copy of This One's For Blanton (Duke Ellington + Ray Brown) was unusually awesome iirc, in terms of being quiet, clean, etc. The music is of course superlative, that much is obvious. You could look into getting a used copy of it, or possible a test disc from Acoustic Sounds. I'd also say there is a 50/50 chance I'll be selling all my vinyl after its been transferred and shipped back to me. Which is an assortment of Fantasy 45s, misc, and eventually the entire series of Music Matters 45s, with the same serial number. These will have been cleaned and played probably 1-3 times, just enough to get a perfect digital transfer.
  3. Found out that my Friday morning Amazon free-for-all has resulted in my check card being declined. A single purchase from Amazon shows up as multiple small purchases on the card, so the bank is convinced there is fraudulent activity. I can appreciate the security measure, but not when I've spoken at length to the Bank on this very issue twice in the past. Its frustrating, because the bank sends no notice to me about the card being declined; they simply let you figure it out on your own And the items I buy are no longer available directly from Amazon themselves, thus the need to buy used from Amazon merchants. I should very much like to have a check card that can be used frequently
  4. These are some new mopad competitors you could try. LINK Primacoustic RX7 Recoil Stabilizer (foam > steel > neoprene)

  8. All my album scans are from Flickr.
  9. Regardless of what you need or want, my point is the vast majority of >$1000 displays these days are TN. Good response times, bad color performance and viewing angles. I've not bothered to learn much, but there are many types. TN, S-IPS, IPS, VA, MVA, P-MVA, S-PVA, etc. I believe this one is an MVA, iirc.
  10. I googled it. Looks like a rudimentary form of Worms.
  11. I almost bought one of these this morning, but went with music instead. link "thankyou10" for coupon ($50 off) This is NOT a TN panel, BTW

  16. Nadda one. edit: Not sure if you meant the entire list. If that was the case, sadly no. But I'm working on it. Some of the ones I've bought a few months ago are now going for $70.

  18. I'm still using the same $10 leather wallet I got in 9th or 10th grade.
  19. Thats kind of awesome
  20. I seem to have a knack for getting telephone calls in the office precisely when I cue up a new album to listen to. Its got like a 80% success rate. Or some dolt strolls into my room asking for help. I'm going to develop a permanent eye twitch if this keeps up. And before anyone tells me "well work is the wrong environment, blah blah blah", I'm basically given a task and told 'do your thing', and can go an entire day w/ little interoffice chat/communication, other than when I cue up albums. I wish people would stick to email.
  21. I keed, I keed.
