  3. The wire leaves something to be desired I suppose. They feel less brittle than my PX100 wires at least, though they're about the same size. I dont know if I would consider my 10jpns to be fully burned in or not, but I haven't noticed much change in tone, or any other characteristics.
  4. How do you like the 10jpns?

  9. You have to admire the work ethic of the lady on the left; she's still determined to get that bag of food to the paying customer currently in exodus.
  10. those look good enough to eat.
  11. I used to leave my amp on overnight and even while I was at work, essentially never turning it off, but no longer do that in case of power outages, the kind where the power goes off and on several times within a few minutes. Lately I turn it off when I go to bed and turn it on the next day when I get home from work around 5pm or so.
  12. That would be a great office amp, especially if you were to take off all the printing.

  14. Question: Hey guise, I'm new here. I was wondering what amp would be best for HD650s. I only want to spend about $150. answer
  15. Nobody cares if your puns were intended.
  16. Its got nice features, but it makes for a better transport than dac imo. I've owned one twice, the first time it was the first dac I ever owned, so it sounded fine as my dac and amp (headphones were plugged straight into it), but as I upgraded to an Emu 0404 USB and then finally the Bel Canto, I realized it wasnt as good as I first thought. It was only when I bought it a second time recently, that I became aware of the degree of that difference. But the reason I bought it this time is because I was (and am) in between rigs at the office, and just wanted something to get the music to my headphones for practically no money. Plus I figured I could keep it to use as a USB to optical transport that would allow me to look at non-usb dacs. That is the true highlight of the product in my eyes. As of right now though, my office rig is 10JPNS > Transit. It is tolerable, but it is nowhere near as good as 10JPNS > ipod. The Transit makes the 10JPNS too bright and there is a lot of grit in the high end. Also less bass. I probably wouldnt have noticed had I been using nothing but the transit this whole time, but upgrading sources, I guess I've trained my ears or whatever.
  17. I'm back to the original wires. Great flexibility and length, and I've all but forgotten any sq advantage of other wires. Not saying they dont exist, but I've reached the conclusion that the stock wire is fine and worth it for the slinky flexibility. And a replacement is no biggie.
  18. transit on ebay. I paid about $50 for one a few weeks ago. Its pretty bad, but you get what you pay for. No volume control or anything, just headphone jack.
  19. Seagate 1.5TB hard drive for $140 and free shipping. For offsite Drobo backup. Apparently these are not good with RAID, but work fine as BIG.
