Im not saying you're wrong, just how I interpret perfect pitch.
I dont know, it just seems like you would pick up what the right notes are by listening to music over time, and recognize the incorrect ones.
Its not like I'm talking about having lived in a vacuum and suddenly being exposed to music for the first time.
I guess I'm saying that, if you have perfect pitch, you should be able to learn what the right notes are without musical training.
Same, except I've avoided the vinyl for this series, because way back when they said it would be dual format. (and I have no TT)
I've been waiting a while to hear the stuff.
When someone plays an A chord, do you immediately recognize it to be A? When someone plays an A note, do you immediately recognize it to be A?
To me it seems like you either know it or you dont.
OK, so in regards to the Blue Note SACDs, at long, long, long last:
I have a good feeling about this, because it is the first time I have been directly contacted by an individual at A.S. as opposed to the email blast/robot responder. They wanted to confirm the status of my account, yadda yadda.
I have certainly sold my fair share of old CDs to the used places. They have a way of piling up in the basement, and a few years ago I had a mass exodus of discs.
The clerks practically creamed themselves. They said I was welcome back anytime, and gave me a business card.
I used to go to a used place in high school, but fell out of it because they shifted to focus on movies and video games. Their selection was rather limited.
For me, getting lots of music isnt complicated; I got a job, and an amazon prime account.
And uh, yeah, hard drives ftmfw
You know, I still love the drobo, but every so often the fan makes a bit of an odd oscillation. Kind of like its doubling up on itself, or spinning unevenly.
But its usually quiet. I like that it knows how to put itself to sleep at night.
