You know they have a 2 headphone model, right? I've enjoyed watching the evolution of Woo stands. This is at least the 3rd iteration, if not more, and its a much better design than the first, or, the one I have from a while back. Still room for improvement though. I'd like to see some sort of bump in the back to prevent the headphones from sliding off. Oh and I agree on it being solid; when you hold it in your hand, you realize just how well balanced the design is. It doesnt want to pull one way or the other. And they make for nice heatsinks with lacie external hard drives

Due to the economy, a guy at work was able to talk down the price of a Taylor electric to around half of what they normally go for at the local Guitar Center. So I'd suspect there will be some wiggle room for you too, if you like to haggle.

Electric guitars are also far easier to finger than acoustic. Wayyyy less required pressure.

Oh, no, it doesnt. I just have this bit of curiosity to see how much better the drobo is over firewire. A drobo at work is still in my long-term plans, and I think the mini is too. The DAC is the only on-the-fence part for me, as there are so many options.

I had an Oscar Schmidt guitar to start, with high action. I got through it, but it was a long time before I could play an F barre chord (a very demanding chord). I just about gave up though.

My drobo is hooked up via USB and works fine. I've not bothered getting a firewire card for my PC, as I figured I'd have gotten a mac by now. Supposedly the Drobo 2.0 is much quieter than the 1.0 version, so if I get another one, it will still be the firewire version, even at a greater cost.

I bet someday there will be a raid 1 version. 2 of those in 2TB and I'm set, for like, at least 6 months.

complete overkill, which is the perfect amount. Imagine it in a music server context; complete silence. How much do people pay for that in high-end audio? Quite a bit.
