I signed out of all devices and browsers for the apple id then deleted several thousand empty playlists (which itunes made when I imported my library) tedious as hell, but seems to be running quite a bit better. i have been getting sporadic browser hanging with Chrome ever since the OS upgrade and have finally just decided to use another browser. word to the wise, never create multiple keychains.

moved to el capitan recently because itunes was running like dog shit. even worse on el capitan. essentially unusable on a 6 core mac pro. impressively bad. i'll wait a few weeks and see if there is an update before troubleshooting further. end rant.
