I havent been following very closely on the SH forums, so this may be old news, but... I suppose the SACD will follow the vinyl at least half a year later, but maybe we'll get lucky this time.

Assembled a third ikea bookshelf, and finally arranged/plugged in my CD player, giving me 2 rigs to listen to. Which is great since the cat is no longer allowed in the primary computer room due to fiberglass panels. Now I just need to get another computer for the area. Either a laptop or imac, probably.

Killed a centipede about the size of my forearm. Very awake now.

In the past week or two I've noticed occasionally pausing in itunes. It could be from the green drives turning off (which I doubt since it hasnt happened until now), it could be from seeding linux distros off the same drive, ahem, or it could be from updating itunes. I have the buffer set high, but maybe something's going on with that. I havent spent much time looking into it, but I did finally set up my older Drobo, which I plan to offload the linux distros to, to free up resources and whatnot. I've not really had any problems until this, so I'm still happy with drobos thus far. I'm pretty sure if you dont host linux distros on the same drive you'll be ok.

I ripped the Mingus last night and tried to listen, but was so exhausted I fell asleep immediately. I've got it playing on my itouch now, but with px100s as a bottleneck. I do like what I'm hearing though

No, if you're tired in class, you hold a pencil at a 45 degree angle, with the front tip resting on the desk. If you fall asleep, the pencil will slip out of your thumb/fingers, making a noise on the desk which should wake you back up (hopefully without alerting others) It usually worked for me.

All my positive comments were in reference to my current room, which is nearfield. Again, the diffusion made the biggest difference.

Havent got mine yet. Cant wait to hear them. The wait for this stuff has been agonizing.
