  1. You should re-edit it again to say it's the worst thing you've ever heard and a complete waste of money and see what happens.
  2. To be honest I'm a lot more excited by the Tesla electric roadster than I am by the wanked out supercars various companies are coming up with these days. Most car companies these days don't fucking get it, their cars are too damn heavy and require huge engines & huge tires to have any kind of decent performance. I could probably count the number of high performance cars which weigh less than 3200 pounds on one hand, 3200 pounds being the weight of my midsize V6 family sedan.
  3. Whatever Nik owns is the "greatest thing in the world". Until he sells it. Again.
  4. Don't care, I have more important things to think about, such as life in a world of permanently declining oil production.
  5. The Cheesesteak is truly the king of sandwiches.
  6. So basically he wants to sell you a $4150 power cord for $1500 or so...
  7. Heh, nothing like free stuff! Reminds me of the time I got a free Bolder Cable power cord just for showing up at a meeting of the local audio group.
  8. Yes, the RSA Stealth. An active pre-amp which has a higher output impedance than a simple passive pot, truly a breakthrough in circuit design.
  9. Well, other than killing you dead and blowing up your speakers there's not much of a problem...
  10. If you're referring to Trose, no doubt. But that Tmij dude has some seriously good stuff.
  11. Yep, you'll need 32V or so to run the amp at full volume with a gain of 11 from the iPod line out. Whether you'll ever crank it up that much is a whole other question...
  12. Thinking of ways to damp my turntable platter and keep it from ringing like a bell.
  13. I know that tedious feeling all too well. A while back I walked into one of my CD racks in the dark and CD's went flying everywhere. A bunch of CD's were badly scratched up so I had to copy them onto CDR's, it took me days and I never want to do it again.
  14. In my experience to date there isn't, and there can actually be a gain in sound quality in some cases. Rip the CD with EAC on secure mode, then burn the CD at between 4-16X depending on your burner and the quality of the CDR's. I've found that burning at full speed can sometimes result in read errors for my older CD players, and some newer CDP's have issues as well.
  15. This is clearly a euphemism for something, though I'm not sure what that something is...
  16. In this topic, we talk about lesbians.
  17. Unfortunately not, it's closer to golden brown than dark red, and the cable "Y" looks pretty shady. Buh??
  18. Own them. 5 years after hearing them for the first time (thanks Biggie) and I finally decided to buy them.
  19. Remember, she lives in Florida, everyone in Florida is weird.
  20. As of 3 hours ago; RS-1 --->K340 --->SR225 --->Senn 580 --->Senn 495 RS-1 with vinyl is fucking awesome beyond fucking awesome. There are no words to express the sheer fucking awesomeness.
  21. For me it's not the Grado forwardness which makes them great for metal, it's the Grado tone, they just get crunchy electric guitars & pounding drums right in a way which I haven't heard in any other headphone.
  22. As I suspected, it's actually better than quite a few of the reviews from those who have heard the Denons. It's also about as honest and fair as my Sennheiser Orpheus review on April Fools day a few years back.
  23. If you've noticed, it's a brilliant parody of the Stereophile Recommended Components List. The non-parody evaluation can be found here.
  24. Talk about half-ass assembly procedures. The sad part is you could probably write a better and more accurate review than some of the people who actually own them.
