  1. Switching from Canon to Nikon is like driving on the wrong side of the road. Everytime you try to focus, zoom or even put on a lens.... I still remember when I was in my first photography class in high school, there was a girl with a Nikon, asked me about those special Canon functions. She asked me about Av and Tv.
  2. Manual focusing an AF lens on AF body is easier than I thought, expect for fast moving objects.
  3. Nikon 50mm f/1.8G on Canon 7D
  4. It is definitely less responsive than Lr3 but I like the highlight and shadow recovery very much, also white balance brush and soft proofing.
  5. I can't wait to see that screen. It will become the Old New iPad when they release the Newer iPad next year and the Even Newer iPad the year after
  6. I don't think there is a dedicated Digic 4 in 5D3. The Digic 4 in 1D X uses the new metering sensor to assist AF, that new 100,000 pixel RGB metering sensor is not on 5D3. More low light 5D3 sample here
  7. ^ Congrats!!! I've read that Canon spent lols of R&D to increase the DR and low light performance on new 1D X and 5D3. I'm sure it's going to be a great camera. Edit: Sample here and here
  8. I guess they keep the raw video for Cinema EOS and this 5DIII will have very good IQ and DR

  10. Probably been moved to the other side like 60D or it's getting customizable buttons like 1D X
  11. Congrats!

  13. Very common problem among some Sigma lenses, is yours still under warranty? I've read that Sigma will calibrate your lens for your camera if you send both to them. If it is out of warranty, does your camera support AF micro adjust?? If it does, try this http://michaeltapesd....com/store.html
  14. Tamron SP 24-70mm F/2.8 Di VC USD. No "L" but it has the Longest name
  15. like cables? kidding D800E allows you to turn off the filter, don't know how......
  16. I ordered YN 565EX, I think it is sufficient for my basic needs like bounce flach and off camera ETTL.
  17. D800/D800E sample http://www.nikon-image.com/products/camera/slr/digital/d800/sample.htm
  18. I'm considering these: YN-565, it is 580EX II clone minus wireless master and HSS. It is around $150 shipped but I've also seen those complaints too. The other flash I'm looking at is Nissin Di866 mkII $260, but again, there are complaints about quality too. The Metz 50 AF-1 $199 is probably good too. Not as powerful as YN-565 and Di866 mkII but seems like a good balance of price, feature and quality.
  19. Does anyone have Yongnuo or Nissin flash? how are their quality in general??
  20. It is a common with that lens http://www.lensrentals.com/blog/2012/01/lens-repair-data-2011
