Technically, shouldn't that be "snowblocked"? As in "That polar vortex is a real snowblocker" ? Or is it the difference between the effect of animate and inanimate things?

A neighbor searched for “Best Chocolate dessert ever” and settled for the NYT Molten chocolate cake recipe as a late birthday treat. Works for me. May have to try myself ... https://cooking.nytimes.com/recipes/1014719-molten-chocolate-cake Edit:

On the plus side you could leave audio gear outside overnight and have it “cryo’ed” by morning.

Postmodern foodie, please. Rejecting the societal constructs of both haute-cuisine and basse-cuisine, instead recontextualizing food through the prism of bacon.

Indeed, the the new TGT does seem very familiar, NTTAWWT The montage of the upcoming stuff, especially the landscapes, does look very good. Especially in 4K HDR. So there's that.

Thanks for the Birthday wishes, one and all. Birthday Usual. Rain but no bacon. A Tasty thai, and more help with the Coq Au Vin. Glad that Brexit's settled then. not. ("Outlook unclear") Relaxing now with a proper cuppa and a Birthday Choccy. Proper Cuppa? <In a world where ... voice> When everything you know is wrong.

Try re-reading Archimago's stuff again. From a data encoding perspective it claims offer more hi-res-ness than could fit a standard-res container . HDCD 2.0 if you will. But given that we can now stream 96/24 FLAC ( or above) - with much less processing overhead - and we can support the bandwith ( netflix can stream 4K / UHD) at much higher data rates, what problem is it we are exactly trying to solve. Especially for extant works ( not those that are yet to be recorded and mixed). Some (cynics? / realists?) argue that it's yet another licensing cash grab from those who's patents are due to / have expired.

May I suggest https://archimago.blogspot.com/search?q=MQA ? Although http://www.mqa.co.uk/customer/mqacd hmmm

Do Tell, in another thread, if applicable. Consider above post for removal if in searchable scope. Or not.
