  2. As the sun was out after all the recent rain, Super Duper Burgers (Fast food burgers, slow food values) In Mill Valley , with work colleagues. We got the timing right as we managed to get our food before the place was overwhelmed with iPhone touting teenagers from the local high school (This is Mill Valley after all). A Tasty Burger, and distracting visuals.
  3. There Was an app for that
  4. Feel Old? http://blog.sfgate.com/sfmoms/2012/01/23/video-13-year-old-girl-holds-a-record-for-the-first-time/

^What was the bacon strip / dram ratio? - The new HC unit of awesomeness?
  7. Compare and contrast with Tyll's experience with Phillips ( spelled Jennifer ) . Maybe, just maybe, design and engineering can trump Marketing BS.
  8. Tyll, did you manage to get any measurements of the "cans" on display at the Soul Booth?
  9. Nice! ( so much going on there with the mountains, stars and framing )
  10. Enjoy your Birthday "Time" Dom.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=2nadtY5bsGIhttp://transmission....ries-18is-back/ Top Gear S18 starts on Sunday 29 January, 8pm, BBC2 and BBC HD (if you’re in the UK).
  13. VLC and the usual sources.
  14. Happy Birthday!
  15. Ric Does it support lossless gapless playback? (The Rio Karma managed this back 2003 - anything that can't do this with today's hardware / software is broken in my opinion ) Can you reliably (i.e. double blind, at statistically significant levels), detect differences between 24/192 + 24/96 samples from the same master, on the same hardware ? ( or even have a preference (Nyquist–Shannon + the thresholds of human hearing would suggest not)) How much source material is there with audio content above 48Khz ? What makes you happy? Try capturing some samples of Esme to see if its the source material , or the playback chain that's more important
  16. ^Posed? not facing oncoming traffic?
  17. If you are still interested in using the touch with an external USB drive, the best thread I have read on the matter is Touch with USB drive : mastering TinySB Lots of useful info. Of particular interest are Treepleks Posts Where he describes how to use the SD card (or usb drive) filesystem as extra virtual memory / swap space. Impressive. Hopefully someone can configure it as an app , so it will "just work" and you wont have to brush up on your command line skillz.
  18. How many more combo's are there with this meme?
  19. Thanks for all the 72 Birthday wishes (bacon infused or otherwise). Lazy day, more shooting zombies, sunny walk, some bacon, caffeine, chocolate. Watched Ricky G make fun of the Shiny People. Now about to kick back with Joanne, some local Thai (food ) and Sherlock. And no work tomorrow thanks to MLK. Mustn't Grumble
  20. No Bacon?
  21. Happy Birthday!
