That would be Sir Terry to you. His Eurovision commentary was part of the fun. Just rewatched the episode of N M T B he hosted on hearing the news. That's another national treasure gone. RIP Sir Terry

Expensive and/or raved-about headphones that actually suck!

Agreed. We recently attended a head-fi meet in a manner so ironic we didn't actually bother to listen to anything. -
Turn on the speakers / subwoofers for project CARS / Star Wars Battlefield. What are the temporary Air B'N'B ers going to do? Complain? And with what standing, exactly?

Happy Birthday Mike!

Yes, the results (assuming you have something that can give a good sear) pay for themselves. Compare, say , a trip to a steakhouse for two, vs same cuts cooked at home (and that's before not paying the margins on the drinks) fire and forget. No brainer, Why not get from amazon , or somewhere with a good return policy, if you are unhappy / "not totally satisfied".

Happy Birthday, youngling. Does that mean a Birthday Edition of Project Cars?

Used to be Suit & (Silk) Tie / Company Car in the UK, when customer facing. Been There, Done That Company I started work for had an outfit leasing scheme - for tax reasons. They bough the "work outfit". depreciated them while you leased them. You could buy them outright at the end, for the depreciated value. (This was a response to 90% marginal tax rates ... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_taxation_in_the_United_Kingdom#20th_century) Now I wear Jeans in the US. And get paid more. The previous decade and a half in California seems to have shrunk my suits Never met a compiler it made a difference to.
