hmmm ^ that link is this v link for me. https://www.nytimes.com/2018/12/28/movies/jerry-lewis-day-the-clown-cried.html
  2. Fire by Ohio Players (1974) https://album.link/i/1434907387 Example: The title track is the star of the show, but once I found 'What the Hell' (track 7), I was entranced. Not just by the album cover. And yup it was a gatefold.
  3. Kimono My House by Sparks (1974) https://album.link/i/1443750483 Example: More fun than I was expecting, and really good.
  4. Happy birthday Illuminator - cheers
  5. This. (boring stereo version) Murry is one of my favs for Mozart. This whole combo works really well for me for the 2nd Concerto. I am not sure I am a real fan of the first just as a work, nothing against this version. Thanks rob.
  6. Streetlights by Bonnie Raitt (1974) https://album.link/i/287366514 Example: Strong Album. I only knew her in the 80's once I found Nick Of Time and the rest. I should have, and still should, explore her 70s work. One of the quintessential voices in my life. Ed: of Note - Drums – Stephen Gadd... :}
  7. Still have some 50yo's kicking around in my queue: In Too Much Too Soon by New York Dolls (1974) https://album.link/i/1443895609 Example: Fun rock with early punk vibes.
  8. Cheers HC Team - HNY
  9. 50yo Phases And Stages by Willie Nelson (1974) https://album.link/i/885243424 Example: I really like this album. Tender and pretty. He was happy to be on Atlantic records.
  10. Yup - long time Rick subscriber.
  11. 50yo -- Oh yeah ^^ one is 50yo as well. Pretzel Logic by Steely Dan (1974) https://album.link/i/1696215205 Example: More diverse than other albums, which I liked. But it is a good not great album for me. Of course a handful of killer tunes, but then a few that are a miss for me. It will be in rotation. Well until I listen to Aja again and this one may get lost in the queue.
  12. Happy new year smoked pork belly x3 y'all..
  13. Moontan by Golden Earring (1974) https://album.link/i/81668043 Example: Another band that I know by name and two songs. My bad, I would have had these on my playlists a long time ago. There is a lot for me here. Great jams, 9+minute songs. Classic guitar sound. Now that I know, I shan't forget.
  14. ^^ this. (I think I get it) -- 🤔
  15. 50yo pair Here Come The Warm Jets by Brian Eno (1974) https://album.link/i/723783174 Example: His first solo - and it is all over the place - in the best way. He tried most things, and most of them worked. And a good Album Title. A clear contrast to: Country Life by Roxy Music (1974) https://album.link/i/724178403 Example: YouTube wont let me post the original song for some age restriction reason or something. There is no bad lyrics in here.. yeesh Oh well. Overall a fun album.
  16. ^^ As much middle East as I expected. More Trump than I wanted.
  17. 50yo album time Autobahn by Kraftwerk (1974) https://album.link/i/726154713 (and yeah I don't know why they don't list QOBUZ as well) Example (THE track): This album is a lot more playful that I remember. I was very used to the later works where they seem more serious.
  18. ^^ impressive (listened to first half - added to queue)
  19. Happy Merry everyone - (NSFW - or family gatherings)
  20. Happy 108th Ric -- Cheers -
  21. Cheers Ken - Happy Birthday -
  22. Ah the Irish
  23. But - this thread will be pretty darn handy when we all, make a couple of frittatas to take to the weekend crew at work. ... It could happen
  24. Or if you have not played with the internet archive - wayback feature. https://web.archive.org/web/20241220054644/https://www.billboard.com/pro/vinyl-audiophile-reissues-expensive-worth-the-money/ They seem to blur this article - but by selecting the text I could read. https://web.archive.org/ Now - I don't use this for standard reading (nor would I recommend). I use it just for one off articles posted here. The New York Times or other such firewalled articles. I don't feel too bad for 1-2 articles a year that I read, that I am not going to subscribe for.
