  1. ...is Mikhail under the table too... ?
  2. Cry Softly Lonely One (Remastered) Roy Orbison 1967 https://album.link/i/1443310520 Example: You may not know them all - but they are worthy.
  3. Schubert: Symphonies Nos. 3 In D, D.200 & 8 In B Minor, D.759 - "Unfinished" Wiener Philharmoniker, Carlos Kleiber 1997 https://album.link/i/1585387022 Example: All around a super solid performance and recording by DG. Engaging, pretty and good pace. Very much enjoyed my time with this one.
  4. Cleaning up my queue a little bit. I was listening to this when I read about Tina, so that occupied my queue for a while. Beethoven: Violin Sonatas Nos. 4, 9 & 10 Andrew Wan, Charles Richard-Hamelin 2021 https://album.link/i/1581150773 Example: Not great - but really good. I guess that is not really fair, I did like it enough to listen to it twice. I don't know the Label or the performers. It is well recorded with a very live feel. Phantasmagoria or a Different Kind of Journey Eivind Aarset 2021 https://album.link/i/1575767827 Example: Holy smokes that was cool. The info just talked about him being a guitarist, not an amazing composer and crafter of sounds. Added to my list of people. Now: The Trinity Session Cowboy Junkies 1988 https://album.link/i/299789347 Example: Famous in my world for all its audiophile goodness. I had been thinking about it ever since listening to Le Ren. It holds up for all the right reasons. An Incredible recording and just a super cool performance. Okay - caught up.
  5. Sorry to hear Todd - RIP Aunty Joyce
  6. Many reasons. It's Gonna Work Out Fine Ike & Tina Turner 1963 https://album.link/i/1437946017 Example: She was a queen for a long time. Even if she was not always free. ...rip....
  7. For those camera peoples. http://kck.st/41VCpnj Being a Peak Design owner - I now get All the emails.
  8. Happy Biscuit day Brent - Wishing you a great day my friend. Cheers -
  9. took this almost b&w photo last year (just a touch of green showed up. I didn't realize it's lack of color until later.
  10. Cheers Rob - Happy Birthday's - Hope you listen to something good.
  11. Echoes In The Valley Sophie Hutchings 2021 https://album.link/i/1575531486 Example: Sunday morning piano music? yes please. I really liked this close-miced recording, I don't always like to hear all the piano parts moving, but it works for me here as a percussive element. A nice collection of delicate works.
  12. Long time subscriber of Elizabeth. She has upped my vocal appreciation game.
  13. Killers Iron Maiden 1981 https://album.link/i/1147158978 Example: Nothing like sleeping on an album for 42 years before giving it a good listen. It kicks Ass. The title track is a standout - but the example hooked me hard. I have to admit, if I had not already, I was a little turned off from maiden back in the day, mainly from the cover art, t-shirts and fans at the time. I was in the meat of highschool during their starting albums. So with all that, I never really gave them a chance until much later, and I was into different things (mostly jazz and classical) in the 90s. So to be able to come back to this and pretty much 'discover' these albums with 'fresh' ears, is pretty refreshing. No recommendations needed - I am pre-sold on the catalog. Things added to queue.
  14. I thought Temu was pretty harmless until it served up this ad during my golf game. Yes all those things are exactly what they say they are for.
  15. Leftovers Le Ren 2021 https://album.link/i/1577419184 Example: Some more female vocals. I seem to be on a kick. Unknown to me but really was lovely. It gave me a Trinity Sessions vibe from Cowboy Junkies, with touches of Simon and Garfunkel. I know those are all really big shoes, but just to say I really did enjoy this set.
  16. Cheers Chris - Many Happy Birthday's -
  17. Age of Apathy Solo Sessions Aoife O'Donovan 2022 https://album.link/i/1676379525 Example: Finally listening to the solo sessions of Aoife's Apathy album. It took me too long to get to it, but was very well rewarded with a superbly recorded set that allows me to just fall in love with her voice once again. It will become my go to over the full band sessions. Her and Sarah (above) just hit me in a way that very few others do.
  18. Isn't that Gallagher in the middle?
  19. Thanks for the site - it looks like a aggregator of all city level GIS site data. And agreed, it has the paths that I know are there that google doesn't. - cool.
  20. Happy Birthdays Shelly.
  21. Back on the Ted Train for season three - and it is not disappointing.
  22. Okay I could not help myself. Build Me Up From Bones Sarah Jarosz 2013 https://album.link/i/1440726347 Example: I just marvel at the talent of the three members of I'm With Her. Together and as individual artists.
  23. Wake Me When It's Over I’m With Her 2023 https://song.link/i/1682394335 The one song: It is just a single, but I am hopeful from the image that there is an upcoming 'live at the Troubadour' release or something like that. Until then I have this on repeat for the afternoon. "I'm With Her covering the Willie Nelson song "Wake Me When It's Over", recorded live as a voice memo in January 2020."
