kicking up a notch on the Sig scale - Great Nose on this Royal
--> Royal Lochnagar 1991/16yo cask 428 43% Sig
Close shot to give an example of pour size.. this is a little lite.. may add a bit more.
On a Thursday - my Whisky Chat - about 20-25ml... When I am just kicking back and want to have a beverage it can be from 35ml to 120ml..
Tonight, I have been in the 20ml range.. x7 pours = about 140ml so far.. not bad... probably will max out in the 200ml range...
cheers
Well a rep would say that... I am a big fan of Robin Coupar (rep) (he fed me lots of beverage).. But safe to say that some of the best beverages that I have ever had are OB (official bottlings from the distillery).. But the Independent's give you all the views of the juice that is out there. Single cask variations are a lot of fun.
One year later and one year younger
--> Bladnoch 1989/8yo Casks 405-409 43% Signatory (half bottle) I like these half bottles.
edit - it pours almost clear, must have been a very used cask
So I picked out a set of Signatory's for the evening.. will see how far I get
--> Mortlach 1988/9yo cask 2622 43% Signatory bottle
Start with the low proof stuff
I just noticed... that these last two bottles are sister casks.
The 29yo was cask 33033 and the 30yo was cask 33041... Interesting to have them back to back, can see the thread between them.. Just a little more character on the 30yo, but I love the nose on the 29.. hmm maybe try a vatting.
Cheers,
