one more for the evening. Reading, Writing And Arithmetic The Sundays 1990 https://album.link/i/1440917168 Example: Just a chunk of 1990s goodness. It was very much of its time, but so am I.

Thriller Michael Jackson 1982 https://album.link/i/269572838 Example - I know that I don't need one - but just the opening production of this: Pretty good...

Plays For Bird (RVG Remaster) Sonny Rollins 1956 https://album.link/i/1443215456 < This list needs to be updated Example: I was not a big fan of the first tune, but the rest of the album made up for it spades. I don't really know why, may be the first track was a little bit too much in your face. 4 tracks for 52 min.. Some killer tunes before the magic 1959.

Americana, Vol. 2 JD Allen 2022 https://album.link/i/1633349120 Example: I feel bad that I didn't start with Volume 1 of Americana. Anyway a very good Jazz/Blues Album with lots of flavors and styles on display. This made it into my queue last year, and as we know I am way behind. But happy to discover gems like this in the mix. Need to explore JD a little more, I like the style and this one is recorded well.

Ha, welcome to the uncontained family. I've been watching Spenser and Mac for about 5 years now ever since they first connected the two containers. Pretty amazing journey, and I learned a lot. I have enjoyed 'Michygoss' {Canadian} and the earlier videos from 'Cajun Country Livin'' {they must have gotten a marketing team this year}. Ed: I was using vv this thread for non-traditional things that I watch. But serial YT is pretty close to TV...

Country Airs: The Original Version (Expanded Edition) Rick Wakeman 1986 https://album.link/i/1508393470 Example: I remember back in the 80s I was into Rick Wakeman (still am) and into New Age Music (kinda still am), and this album came out. It really showed his composition style and is ornamentation of cords and themes. Still really enjoyable as a Sunday morning listen. He has over 90 solo albums, so I don't think I will be doing a Discography run anytime soon.

You've Got To Learn (Live) Nina Simone 2023 https://album.link/i/1689102364 Example: Much more of a historical release than an audio one. Some great performances of 1966, at the Newport Jazz Festival. Just not engineered very well, lots of vocal clipping that is tough if you are really trying to listen and get into it. Still really glad it was released, it will just not be in rotation. Rant - I find that so much with the deluxe and super deluxe ultimate extended anniversary release of some albums with 74 tracks for an album that had 9 songs. Cool, I was glad I heard it once, now I am going to go back to the original album. I usually don't need to listen to the 4th take of a demo that didn't make it on the album in the first place. I feel that I have written about this before. - End Rant. So, speaking of a band that I know much more by name than music, or I should say I did until now. Nightlife Thin Lizzy 1974 https://album.link/i/1443836724 Example: Really great dual guitar led rock. I, of course, am very familiar with 'the boys are back in town' off of Jailbreak, but there is a lot of music before and after that that I was never exposed to. I guess I will keep my TIDAL account for a little bit longer.

Vladimir Horowitz - Horowitz in Moscow Vladimir Horowitz 2010 (Ed - 1986) https://album.link/i/1452506788 Example: A master playing a masters game. At 81 with his return to Moscow, he really did show that he had very few peers. I remember watching this in the 80's on "CBS Sunday Morning" with Charles Kuralt and being mesmerized. I need to play this more.

New contemporary female - pianist. Romance – The Piano Music of Clara Schumann Isata Kanneh-Mason 2019 https://album.link/i/1463178540 Example: A lovely set of recordings of Clara's work (her husband was Robert). I really liked the Romances, and the Scherzo (shared) off of this album over the orchestral works. But all well recorded by Decca. I still think Isata is growing and learning, but I have enjoyed her work.

thx for keeping an eye on the internets Knucks. Dang - now I want some pizza. -
Hello Nasty (Deluxe Edition/Remastered) Beastie Boys 1998 https://album.link/i/721224205 Example: like you don't know it - I was going to pull a deep cut - but this is just too good. "Intergalactic, kill the children, kill the children, intergalactic.." I know it does not say that... Anyway, a really good album. I would almost put it squarely in the acid jazz category. So many great tracks that hit hard, and with dynamics and diversity. Worthy revisit.

Vaňhal: Symphonies, Vol. 5 Czech Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra Pardubice, Michael Halász 2022 https://album.link/i/1608575307 Example: Overall a nice selection of work, very much in the Classical Era, and well recorded and performed. Would recommend. I didn't really know Vanhal's work (or Wanhal, among others). But known and liked by his contemporaries, and I can see why.

i don’t know who needs to hear this... Tomberlin 2022 https://album.link/i/1606957903 Example: A quiet but very intentional album. New Artist to me, and I really enjoyed the album a lot, sophomore release. I have not dug into the lyrics much at this point, but I feel that I will be rewarded when I do.

Valentine Snail Mail 2021 https://album.link/i/1636341239 Example: Shortish (31min), but very enjoyable listen from Snail Mail.
-
Water Falls Sara K. 2004 https://album.link/i/6333184 Example: I continue to grow in my appreciation of Sara. As always a very well recorded set of tracks. Not as clean as the Chesky releases, but few things are.

where are we Joshua Redman 2023 https://album.link/i/1695044022 Example: A Challenging but very rewarding new release by Joshua. The example is a very approachable track. Gabrielle does a great job matching and contrasting with Joshua and gang on this album. Good Blue Note release.

Celebrants Nickel Creek 2023 https://album.link/i/1655960194 Example: Too many great tunes to pick which one to share. This one highlights Sara. Oh what the hell.... And this one highlights Chris: I need to tweak my TIDAL favorites list a bit so I don't miss these releases (from March! - I have missed 5+ months of this music in my life). At first I was not a big fan of the production style of this album until I got into the meat of it and it became very clear that they knew what they were doing, the dynamics came alive and I was hooked on every tune. I know that I should expect this from a MacArthur Fellowship 'Genius Grant' award winner.

Wheels Turn Beneath My Feet Fink 2012 https://song.link/i/562220092 << song link - Album link only had two streamers listed Example: A very well recorded set of live tunes. And very consistent mastering, considering they were from 8 different venues. I was only familiar with one tune, but was very engaged for the entire set. I might have to check recent releases.
