  1. Nameless Dominique Fils-Aimé 2018 https://album.link/i/1328997132 Example: New Artist to me. Going to be going very high on my audiophile testing playlist. VERY well recorded and a great set of tracks.
  2. Cheers to Zoe!! -- Happy Birthdays -- good thing you are not getting any older.
  3. I will leave any real comment to those that know. But I enjoyed some light reading. https://www.dpreview.com/reviews/pentaxkx
  4. Rage Against The Machine Rage Against The Machine 1992 https://album.link/i/191450810 Example - You have to click to listen. Happy Cyber Monday - Motherfuuuuckersss....
  5. Happy Birthday Bryan, Good thing you got the DYA in before today... :} Cheers
  6. G.T.R GTR 1986 https://album.link/i/1036846135 Example: Nice combo with Steve Hackett, Steve Howe and Geoffrey Downes. This one got a little lost with the Asia albums coming out around all this. Seems like a side project for Geoffrey, and the Steve's wanted to play together. Not mad about it. I thought that this was an early 90's album in my head, but it fits in with the mid 80's as well. With Asia and Yes around this time, along with IQ and Marillion. Good Sunday listen as I bake bacon... :}
  7. I asked Dave, a slightly older person.
  8. Yup - it is indeed a UltraWide SCSI. But it was also not uncommon to use this pin out to control a printer. The other end of that plug didn't look like that. - I'm old.
  9. The Happiest Times I Ever Ignored Hayden Pedigo 2023 https://album.link/i/1671890098 Example: So I came across Hayden on a recent Tiny Desk, and I really liked the tunes, and the super clean technique. When it comes to guitar playing I am not a big fan of hearing the fingers slide on the strings, and that is pretty much absent for Hayden. The NPR post. There has also been some really good 70's Jazz. First Cuckoo Deodato 1975 https://album.link/i/1588155428 Example: I have really grown to appreciate Deodato's playing (piano) recently. And the smooth funk is juuuust right...
  10. Cheers to the expat... -- Happy Birthday JP..
  11. Maestro: Music by Leonard Bernstein (Original Soundtrack / Dolby Atmos) London Symphony Orchestra, Yannick Nézet-Séguin, Bradley Cooper 2023 https://album.link/i/1716774772 Example: I cannot really recommend it, just because I will never go back to this to listen to. There are some really nice recordings in here, along with rich performances. And then there are works that are clearly outtakes from the movie - that I have not seen. So it becomes very disjointed. Reminding me of the Tar soundtrack. Just give me the full works as they were recorded and then if you want the other stuff stick them in as extra tracks. Anyway, I probably would still like to see the movie.

  13. Higher Chris Stapleton 2023 https://album.link/i/1697401120 Example: New Chris album just dropped. Happy to have another set of tunes from a master of crafting the most out all the words.
  14. Delia Derbyshire - The Delian Mode -- documentary short.
  15. RIP astronaut Frank Borman, 95 https://www.npr.org/2023/11/09/953342565/nasa-apollo-gemini-astronaut-frank-borman-dies

  17. ^^ that's a funny looking curry...
  18. Ill Communication Beastie Boys 1994 https://album.link/i/724771323 Example: Yeah I know 'Sabotage' rules, but I just really like how much Jazz is on this album. Probably pissed a lot of people off back in the 90s, but I think that this is really a great complete album. Well done.
  19. ^^ added that back into my queue.... it has been too long - thx Edit -- Well a Thread Search says last year - but still.
  20. yay for the volcano tour... 🌋

  22. A great half hour of chill beats way before chill beats was a thing.
  23. Street Survivors Lynyrd Skynyrd 1977 https://album.link/i/1484692844 Example: Remembering Ronnie on the anniversary of the Lynyrd Skynyrd plane crash on this day in 1977. The album that was released three days before the crash that took 6 people's lives. I saw them once they regrouped with brother Johnny singing in 1988, along with the Rossington Collins Band at the Concord Pavilion. It was a good show, but of course not the same. Edit: Correction - SEP 27, 1987 - at Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre... {Friend Richard, who has a much better memory than myself provided clues to find the actual show). Oh and here is the setlist - https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/lynyrd-skynyrd/1987/irvine-meadows-amphitheatre-irvine-ca-1bc6ddc8.html
  24. Cheers Sir Dusty.. wishing you a purple and black Birthday.. -- Cheers
