  1. Choir of the Mind by Emily Haines & The Soft Skeleton (2017) https://album.link/i/1254594996 Example: Just so good to listen to. I have not done a deep dive into what is said, but initial impressions are rewarding.
  2. Kind of the reason we need artists - they think differently...
  3. All The Young Dudes by Mott The Hoople (1972) https://album.link/i/155712973 Example: Mott and the Young Dudes.. I really enjoyed this album.. I liked the 70s groove rock that they were putting out there. Yet this was another band like Thin Lizzy that I knew by name, not by songs. I have many songs attached to them now, and I am happy about that.
  4. Adrenaline Rush by Twista (1997) https://album.link/i/79029480 Example: Sometimes you just need some fast 90s rap.. Twista delivers.

  6. ^^ Thanks... Although it got me thinking of a music survey. 🤓 My standards for this piece have been: Berliner Philharmoniker / Herbert von Karajan Boston Symphony / Munch The London Symphony Orchestra / Josef Krips Chicago Symphony / Sir Georg Solti Orchestra Of St. Luke's / Michael Tilson Thomas Pretty much the same list for the 7th Symphony as well (probably my fav just ahead of the 3rd). But that could change. I have not listened to the Szell.. yet. I think that the internet catalog is too big for me to do a complete survey of the Eroica, But maybe a review of top recordings in context to the Szell. I will ponder. meanwhile: The Cool Voice of Rita Reys by Rita Reys (1957) https://album.link/i/988177115 Example: and Relax With Rita & Pim by Rita Reys (1969) https://album.link/i/1442252027 Example: Some lovely recordings.
  7. Read many of his reviews back in the day - I use to get Audio and Stereophile. RIP
  8. Cheers Nate - Wishing a happy birthday -
  9. Makes it look the size of a quarter -- but still looks yummy (bite size)
  10. ^^ I can understand that - it is short. I was sad when it finished up so fast. So Brothers And Sisters by The Allman Brothers Band (1973) https://album.link/i/1455534876 Example: I started out this album a little disappointed with the opening track. Not bad, just not much there. Then it rolled into Ramblin' Man which I always liked, but it is a good tune, not a great one for me. From there on the album just keeps building on itself, by the time that I got to the 7.5 minute version of Jessica (above), I was all in. With the lovely coda of Pony Boy at the end. Happy to have this locked into my memory as a good album.
  11. Ballads by John Coltrane (1963) https://album.link/i/1440747672 Example: Such a deep catalog of goodness to continue to dig through...
  12. ^^ thanks I had not realized that I missed last years outing. So I watched that one before this one. Still trying to recover from jizza's belly size.
  13. Cheers Naaman - Happy Birthday -
  14. Posters Fade by Derby (2008) https://album.link/i/284547555 Example: I do enjoy when music can just be a small pile of fun.
  15. Miles Español by Various Artists (2011) https://album.link/i/462267513 (it is on other services) Example: A good collections of tunes about a good collection of tunes.
  16. Cheers Colin - Happy Birthday my friend. I hope to get together sooner than later -
  17. Cheers Mr Steve --- Wishing you a happy Birthday and all the wood you can nibble on..

  19. Rick is on a Roll with these interviews Hey Brad.
  20. Sad - I have some of his flour for making bread right in my cabinet, ready to use. I will have to make a loaf for him. -- I met him once at one of the bread gatherings that I use to be apart of. Very nice, and really ran the company the way that I think that most should. Owned by the people. -- https://www.bobsredmill.com/employee-owned Cheers Bob.
  21. the return
  22. RIP Seiji Ozawa (88yo) He was important figure in the early development in my classical journey. His 29 years with the BSO were fruitful.
  23. I liked the show a lot back in the day - but man that is a super shitty old school photoshop image for the cover. I think that AI could even do better these days. And RIP Phil (wow 26y ago), still missed.
