my 300sei went silent years ago - (blew a resistor). I replaced it - and it blew again - so that was not the issue. -- I have not gotten back to it... (and you Don't want to see the inside of this thing.. ooph).. I would give Cary support a call as well - the people I talked to years ago were very nice and helpful (at the time). good luck.
