  1. Happy Birthday....
  2. I'd give a butt rub to eat that..
  3. Yes it is true - that most of the American Whisky you see on the shelves comes from about 3 distilleries - contract distilling. Give them a recipe and money and they give you barrels. You make up a name and put it on the shelves. It takes a lot of research to find out where it comes from. One of the reasons I like single malt - Bowmore = Bowmore. A lot of High west these days is pretty legit, Dave had to buy casks from various places to get off the ground, but makes a lot of it now. But it is easy to supplement.
  4. Nope other than my little 'yep sounds good' from post 1304. New feedbands .. They have upgraded to a lined inner sleeve. It is hard to inspect white vinyl. Mammoth Indigo
  5. Cheers To Ricciardo.. Fernando outdrove his car (and the field) and was amazing... and fair play to Hamilton to come from the back to the podium - one of the better drives I have ever seen...
  6. gots to love super old threads...
  7. ^^ understand all of that...
  8. lots of listening.... I was not expecting to keep this recording - but the 7th really did capture me - mono but I am fine with that.... Just too good of a performance and recording to consider purging.. worthy... Historically good but not great and recording not up to snuff to listen to. Another boxed set that I thought was throw away... wrong - No.22 captured great... (along with the others) Another I never expected to keep - these guys from the 1800's know what they are doing - recording is good - but everything else is there in spades. Fun with the insides as well.. What is this? and where did it come from? .. I don't know - but it is going to stick around for a bit... (70's goodness - you may know "Just remember I love you") Escape? - yes, yes I will... along with the rest of the tunes.. Okay... Starcastle - Fountains of Light.. what the actual Fuck? -- How did I have this for so long and not know that this album pretty much kicked ass? -- 1977 - Yes ripoff that I think is killer. (fan) (fuzzy phone pics... but fun evening)....
  9. switching over from listening to now... Was much better than I thought - keeper.. (I do like my Liszt)
  10. A couple of historical recordings.. but not much interest or enjoyment. (over to Analog thread)...

  22. Cheers Greg - I hope you had a great Birthday --
  23. Yeah I got the email from VMP saying that I will get an email.
  24. I didn't really follow one.. but I just started with 2 cups of AP flower (yes cups not weight), one cup of water, two spoon fulls of yeast starter, and a couple pinches of salt (sea). Mixed it up by hand let it set for a couple hours, punched down and let rise again. split into 4 balls. folded and rolled out about 5-6 times, as thin as will hold together (makes it about baking sheet size). Brushed on a little olive oil, and cracked on some Himalayan salt, on one I added cracked pepper and Parmesan cheese to another. I create lines with my serrated bread knife to have lines to break them up later. Baked on parchment at around 400 degrees for about 9-10 minutes (until they looked good). let them cool and crisp up. then enjoy... (I probably shouldn't fold as much next time. try to cut down on the big bubbles a bit)
