  1. I'm not 100% sure that is cromulent.
  2. It's an amazing thickener, which would be great for stroganoff. Have you ever had tempura okra, Steve? Or the traditional blackened? Okra is also delicious stuffed with cheese and battered and deep-fried. Of course, an acorn would be delicious stuffed with cheese and battered and deep-fried.
  3. I am using the laziest version of the "French mod" (cut a Shure foamie to fit and stick it in the middle) and it's great. I have heard no difference in sound beyond less tizz. Completely reversible. Hard to go wrong with it. Along with an amp that really grips them, I love the HD-800 now. My beloved vintage RS-1 gets almost no head time, now.
  4. He is my sensei, so I can only hope to do him proud.
  5. No, I don't think that's what you are mis-remembering.
  6. I just looked at several early 2009 reviews, and they all mention $1400 as the price point. It's certainly what I remember them debuting at.
  7. Honestly, I prefer an under-fill to an over-fill. I would love that, thanks man! I'm not expecting to be buying anything new myself, anytime soon. There is something nice about having one watch that does it all, though. My GMT Master was that for me for a long time.
  8. Anybody need watch winders? I have two Pangaea quads and a Pangaea 6 watch winder that I'm not using. They are quiet and reliable; good Japanese motors, and lots of cycle adjustability. Two of them have small internal damage, as things fell from the drawer into the main body of the watch winder (my fault; I overloaded the drawers with straps and what-not), and you have to slightly break them to remove the drawer, but it's internal only, and doesn't effect function, unless you like shaking your watch winders over your head. Otherwise, small wear and tear as is to be expected of polished wooden pieces that lived on furniture in well trafficked parts of a home and which were touched on a daily basis. I have all of the original packaging. I'd be interested in selling two of the three. $150 + shipping for the quads and $200 + shipping for the 6 watch winder. I'll take offers.
  9. Nothing like that.
  10. I think I might finally start playing Farcry 4, today. It's only been sitting on my "to play" pile since I bought it, a week after it came out.
  11. Man, I wish I were somewhere that was cigar appropriate, weather wise. That looks like a nice one. Wearing the Aqua Terra on the bracelet now?
  12. pin buckle, for sure.
  13. Louie Anderson was absolutely inspired casting.
  14. I've seen $1000 from other sellers, but not from Amazon. My guess is that it's a combination of the two factors you mention.
  15. Just buy a cheap Wii U. The experience is apparently about the same.
  16. That was fairly implied by him posting it with his penis.
  17. Good call, Nate!
  18. Happy birthday!
  19. You're in good company.
  20. I'm re-reading the Death Gate Cycle by Weiss and Hickman. I loved it in high school. It stands up pretty well!
  21. man, that sucks. I have no experience with Air BnB, but I hope you are able to resolve things quickly! CC fraud is crap.
  22. This is an incredibly underrated album. That's not good!
  23. happy birthday!
  24. My '77 Long Murex has returned from Pilot USA! I couldn't be happier. They not only repaired the small issue with the cap, a very careful restoration was done to the pen, with a conservative polish on worn areas. It doesn't look new, and shouldn't, being a 40 year old used pen, but it looks fantastic, and writes amazingly well. I hadn't noticed that the nib was slightly bent, previously, but it writes like a dream, now. I couldn't ask for a better writing and feeling Japanese fine nib.
