  1. i think any house with wifi host is a good house.
  2. curious, will it build by resistors? (i guess not, too costy, one guy once told me he built a dac using more than 500 resistors nearly broke his bank and neck by his wife)
  3. Wow, why E96 is the key?
  4. Any progress?
  5. will we get better result when using vishay resistors rated at .01% (some of them are 5 ppm, seems be the king)?
  6. sorry, i mean this pic. i made a mistake. btw, is balancedoutputcast2.zip a must-need part of the preamp? i gonna use the attenuator board (plus the control board, led board etc) to wire these things to be a whole big integrate amp, well, here's my plan: unbalanced/ balanced /cast to balanced board (uber3 is its another name) ---> attenuator board (contains control baord etc)---> uber1 ---> uber2 of course numberless power supplies need to be involved
  7. What's comment in this sentence?
  8. Walt made a new thing, but it's only 2.5v http://www.waltjung.org/waltsblog/whats-new/gled431-an-ultra-low-noise-led-reference/
  9. genius! now i can understand a little more of this science stuff, your tranny is 36vac, and we hook it up with a diode bridge, 36*1.4=50, and this 50v (vdc, right?) going like a river through these caps, and it becomes a liitle less than 50v now, but it keeps going, bump, into the +/-40v gr, my question is, this nearly 50v thingy goes into this +/-40v psu, actually how many relations are there between 50v and +/-40v? Does this +/-40v gal also accept 80v since 40-(40)=80? btw, have a look at the gr circuit, like the goldenreference7, the stock version is +/-20v, how could they achieve +/-3/40v? and have a second look at the circuit, there is a diode bridge on the gr board, i ain't no sure it's diode bridge or not, but it 50% is the diode bridge, that is a 4-pin molex shape sits besides the big cap on the gr board. we do this unregulated supply, and feed our unregulation into +/-many vs gr board, so the diode bridge on the gr board should be removed, right? the unregulations which go beyond the unregulated supply is already dc and dc into gr board so we no need diode bridge anymore.
  10. i rememeber kg uses unregulated supply when the ampere is more than 5 amps.
  11. i ve bought several so called new old stock mpsw06 from ebay and waiting for the jfet version...
  12. my head's spinning for a few hours or so, still can not figuring out how to connect the three uberamp2 and gr boards. don't know where's in and where's out. so many ins and outs. unreg + in, unreg + out, + reg drive, - reg drive, +d, -d, fb. still don't know which part is called pass transistor... could someone just provide an example. and where are the power caps, power caps is unregulated caps' another name as far as i know. and where is the often mentioned pre-reg stage, pre-reg stage = pre regulated stage as far as i guess. the caps previous mentioned are called unregulated caps, isn't this pre regulated stage thingy located in the area of the unregulated caps? pre means before, so pre-reg stage's existence is before gr because gr has diode bridge to do the regulation. and uberamp2 needs one gr with 30v and one gr with 40v, how to make them 30 and 40, there are labels ac25v, should or should not input 25vac when you need 40v or always input 25vac into gr and changing the resistors and then still get the 40v and 30v or what we need? uberamp2 actually is more than 3 boards, what i mean above is three different kind of boards. what're their names, input board, x board, and amp board or output board.
  13. different 25 amp diode bridges, different sound. some may sound poor. how do we choose then? as for the the power caps, is 10,000 uf overkill?
  14. why are there two labels ac25v, confused..
  15. wow! have you guys find the good switches?
  16. Longing for the completed-final-version preamp though.
  17. I've found this, my bad, my bad. http://gilmore.chem.northwestern.edu/boards/goldenreference7plus.zip Still don't know what pre-reg is, I guess it's the unbal / bal / cast to bal board.
  18. Lol, I type the wrong words above, almost forget to revist here. Truly sorry... Here's my question, If I wanna a build a linear PSU, like a 350w linear PSU, with golden reference and a 350w tranny (maybe a 350w tranny ain't big enough?), and I only need the +30v, what should I do? I know the -30V output can be ignored (if I only need the +30v), but this makes the components of the -30V wasted. The original ucc has the +voltage version. Does the pre-reg stage also should be slightly modified in this case?
  19. hi kg, any upadtes on this?
  20. Folks, if we need a high power golden reference, like, a 350w golden reference (AC tranny), what should we do?
  21. ya know why it can be read as two meanings? this is a literature joke. Foucault-Derrida texture.
  22. hey! EC amps are the best dynamic amp in the Northern Hemisphere, many people told many people.
  23. I'm really sorry, that thread was posted at Posted 11 Jun 2008, and I read it before I posted, now is 20xx, time flowed and many things changed, actually now we have to make clear the first question firstly: 007 mk2.9 is the cruciality of the question, cos 007 mk2.9 is our Mr. spritzer's favorite HPs on Earth. So, how to get a 007 ver.Right to mod it into a mk2.9 is the question of this silly questional question.
  24. @HeadphoneAddict come on man, SR-007 is the most perfect cans in the world so far in our master SPRITZER's mind. I trust spritzer.
  25. Spritzer, there's 007 mk2.5 outthere people say. so I have another question: you often mention 007 mk2.9, is it a mod based on mk2.5 or mk2? unfortunately I have another querstion: what's the famous ports plugged? I ain't google nothing.
