They could at least put a connector on the bottom/back and allow the aftermarket to make a external battery add-ons

Well, I can take comfort in knowing that there is nothing that has more than 255 steps and 0.5dB steps (undetectable by the human ear). No hiss with ES3X, so good to go there. And it won't blow up if you plug in the USB "charger" and a USB DAC at the same time.

I gave this one a try before buying it. I'm probably unable to fully appreciate it. I found it boring. One I'd put in the 3 Fat Guys on a Couch Swapping Power Cords Collection, and I don't pay $30/disc for that. I can see how with speakers you might feel that you're in the same room as the performance. All my full size headphones are in transit, so I'm only using the ES3X IEMs. I feel like I'm unable to hear the area around the room due to the lack of detail & compressed nature of the headphones. Just 3 guys floating in space

i just shipped it, to be delivered to the hotel along with my demo BHSE, Sony SACD player, and a couple pairs of Stax headphones. Total bill for 3-day shipping = $400 :facepalm:
