checked the flights again. i'd have to take a 10am shuttle on Sunday to make any of the flights that don't result in an overnight layover. so still Monday. really hate that this is 3 days + 2 days of travel.

is anyone arriving thursday night? what is the best way to get from the airport to the hotel?
  5. probably not, at least not in a 2x9V amp. a replacement for the Pico DAC/Amp would likely be very similar to the current formula but w/ the 24/96 USB DAC and 2-piece style enclosure (this is probably 1-2 years off)
  6. this and this No I wanted to keep this simple and not need rail splitter circuitry. also, charging = DC Adapter needed. making it a high voltage li-po amp w/ good charging capabilities would easily add 50% to the cost to make the amp. and i have yet to make a portable amp that allows batteries to be changed, which some people like
  7. i have a 475 i'd recommend you check out too. a good thing about these is there's not really any obsolete ICs that you won't be able to replace. biggest issue you'll run into is having to clean the switches. try to find one on ebay that has already been restored and it will still only cost you a few hundred, a bargain
  8. power output levels are similar to the Gilmore Lite. around 15Vpp, 150mA discrete buffer. so it will definitely power the K1000 better than the regular Pico, which is limited to 8Vpp output. but, it's still a portable amp. the goal was to make the smallest 2x9V amp. "hard to drive" is more in the context of portable use, so think like Senn HD800, AKG K701
  9. it's an 18V powered amp (2x9V) in what should be the thinnest enclosure for a 2x9V amp (around 0.7"), machined out of solid aluminum with a battery cover on the bottom instead of end-loading. Length/width will closely match iPhone/touch/classic. Discrete transistor output buffer, gain switch, ~25 hr battery life with 300mah NIMH batteries try the other site

  12. ric, do you have a custom IEM that fits you perfectly? if so, you could ask them to use those as your impressions

  17. can i check this part out? i had been hoping to find a quad pot that is better than the RK27, much cheaper than the RK50, and PCB mountable. and if a stepped attenuator, way more steps than the DACT.
  18. based on what i was quoted in Qty of 100, i'd guarantee it's a typo, and think the stereo price is very low unless he's just trying to clear stock
  19. i may be buying some TKD quad CP-2500. group buy?

  22. the threads are actually only 3/4" long. so with a 1/8" panel, and 1/4" for a nut, there's 3/8" of extra thread. i am going to try to not have to cut them
