  1. so i'll be switching to a new service in the future.
  2. a lot of DIYing in Australia.. yes, paypal will be fine
  3. i'd like to know if there's any advantage to using the Vishay SMM over regular 1206 or 1210 thin-film resistors. The round ones are more annoying to solder.
  4. connectors should be here real soon here is a spreadsheet of the orders: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Am1HOq1s0PwSdEtudDdjX3hzUEpheDBpNk5ZS2RVY3c
  5. is she any good at matching transistors?
  6. i designed this impenetrable box fortress, if the panels in this box still get their corners dinged im gonna be pissed
  7. really? YGPM then!
  8. im going to have to do something about that. parts.headamp.com, coming soon
  9. haha…it gets me when i'm watching sports and the announcers are like "What a motivation that he's still performing at this level". im like HEY THATS ME!

ah, here it is: http://www.phonearena.com/news/Apples-Lucky-Bag-promotion-draws-crowds-in-Japan_id25332/ attempting this in the USA would result in: - trampling deaths - robbing the guy who got the better bag - returning any bag that wasn't profitable - lawsuits - employees buying all the good bags before the store opens

in Japan Apple has "bag of craps" which maybe is actually something other stores do there too? they cant do it in the USA though because too many assholes would ruin it

ability to load the page, fail..
  15. took 20 hours of hired help, but 5,000 pins have now been opened up a bit to lower the insertion force. jacks will be here in a couple weeks.
  16. pcb layout tip - if the amp can accept unbalanced inputs, then wire the first 2 sections of the pot for L+ and R+. that way if someone only has a 2-gang pot and only intends to have RCA inputs it will still work
  17. there's 15lb insertion force, compared to about 10 for the Amphenol jack and 9 for the Stax jack. which is why i'm opening up the pins a bit
  18. wasn't it determined that amp isnt actually SRPP? that's a new one. Advertise something that's bad, when it isn't even made that way…lol
  19. samples arrived.
  20. surprising about black delrin since that's what the eric343 HE60 sockets were made out of several years ago hey i should get some of those made…
  21. based on your drawing, this should work, provided that "star ground" also includes the amplifier PCB and power supply PCB grounds. one thing though, XLR pin 1 should not be connected here. it should be connected to the chassis through the shortest path possible. how you connect the chassis to circuit ground elsewhere is another story. as for the metal body of the attenuator, i would have it conduct to the chassis and dont try to wire it anywhere.
  22. Samples have been made, and are on the way to me now
  23. The Westones that I have are the same as the JH. The left side of my ES3X falls out all the time, it's a few years old, and I only use it for testing purposes.
  24. call it the YES
