  4. mike, a while ago i saw a video of a florida park that had a large number of elevated wooden trails, like a roller coaster. forget what it was called. do you know what it is?

  6. well its probably not measuring 100 anymore
  7. i cant recite my color codes at a Head-Fi meet, but is that a 100 ohm resistor? http://www.oddwires.com/100-ohm-1-4w-0-25w-1-metal-film-resistor-25-pack/
  8. went and looked at a new powder coater today. they're Mennonites. the building is 12,000sqft with 3 ovens of different sizes -- in a room with filtered air -- a row of tanks for cleaning/etching, and was EMPTY except for about 50 finished pieces of a bus window frame. Apparently for the past several years, that's been their only customer, and they haven't done any advertising. This could be my dream powder coater.
  9. the Abyss is promising, i definitely want to hear more of it. that guy over on WhatsBestForum is associated with it though..

  16. how many hours did this run before the problem?
  17. the shorts look more like a circuit board problem than a capacitor insulation problem?

  19. yes, perhaps blue foam is needed
  20. just found the actual weight is now 5lb above the dimensional weight (previously dimensional weight was 9lb over actual weight), so unless i want to remove tiny bits of foam weight, seems there's not much advantage to going any smaller
  21. Trying to get the packaging as efficient as possible, i designed these new end caps and had my helper cut/glue them. The tubes can go under the amp in foam. Now if i can find a place for the cable besides the top of the amp, i can cut off another inch Vs original box Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. utsource has had 2SC3675s listed for $1/each for a while now on eBay. as a test, i bought 10 pieces, they were all real, look exactly like my other 2SC3675s so i bought their remaining 910 pieces, which....look different. testing: tested 10 pieces (of the 910pc lot), they all have breakdown voltages around 1025-1050V. higher than the 900v spec but not as high as some other parts ive seen test in the 1150v range HFe is around 50 which is good This is what the 10 pieces look like from my sample purchase: This is what the next 910 pieces look like:
  23. not familiar with the schematic on your board but try a 100 ohm resistor after the pot on each channel
