  1. now that i got utsource to remove their 1000pcs of fake 2sk216 and 2sj79 from ebay, i've moved on to the next, buying out the stock of a couple other ebay sellers now i wait with my credit card company phone # in hand
  2. i forget, is this the right thread for the florida bike thing in december? it looks like the day i'm supposed to fly out is the day i have my next follow up appt for clavicle, so have to see if i can make that a day earlier. thats supposed to be the day i'm allowed to stop wearing the sling, which would be 4 weeks after surgery. i'm going to guess i'm on the 12 week recovery plan rather than the 3 day one as far as riding a real bike, stationary recumbent is ok as of today, so maybe a real one of those would be ok in 3 more weeks
  3. back to normal the day after surgery. the nausea only lasted about 6 hrs. when i go thursday im going at ask if i can at least do some kind of exercise, like legs only, or right arm, cause im already losing weight
  4. utsource emailed me to ask why i filed a chargeback for the 2sk216/2sj79 i bought off their website. they said they've never had any complaints about the parts. i'm not surprised if that's the case. most DIY projects never get built. a lot of them are probably also being used in low voltage applications where a 50V npn/pnp could be substituted and still 'work' and the DIYer doesn't know any better. what has surprised me though is after i told them this it looks like they took their ebay listings down for those parts
  5. 3 days after surgery my pain level is down to a 1 of 10 on the hospital scale. all i really feel now is some itching where the incisions probably are. cant see them because its all covered in gauze. go back on thursday to get that taken off i think
  6. In the bed.. Got the rod Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  8. Surgery tmrw. I went with the rod guy as he has a lot more experience. He will use the rod unless he feels my bone canal is too narrow which can be the case in younger people. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Had custom made teflon shoulder washers. These go thru the to-220 tab and then nearly all of the way thru the .062" thick aluminum oxide insulator. I have samples of ones for both #4/M3 and a thicker wall version for #3/M2.5 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. its more like the clavicle nail i think edit: ah i see your video was the actual surgery of the same product here's an animated video of it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4JXhsZ7yLUQ
  11. yeah he said there would be 2 small incisions rather than 1 long incision - one to insert it and one for manipulating the bones
  12. decided to put off that surgery. i needed to get more opinions. went to another guy, he also said to get surgery as it may not heal without it, but said he would not use the titanium plate but instead use this rod inside the hole in the bone which he said he invented/helped invent http://sonomaorthopedics.com/products/clavicle-fracture-solutions/ requires smaller incision to install, and can also be removed later the same way. so no issues with people complaining about the plate causing irritation on their skin or pain when something touches it. still need to read some more about it he said my only non-surgical option is to wear the figure 8 brace and see if it moves into a position where it could heal, so i've got the brace and am going back in a week for an x-ray. but it seemed like he was just satisfying my need to try the brace as he would put me on the schedule for surgery next friday anyway
  13. tried to see if i could find the spot on the trail in the video that i sucked at http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=6URPaewpYYE#t=171 i think it's exactly 3:02 here when you hear the suspension compress, then flew off to the right
  14. What about nerve damage? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I think in the u.s. only about 5% of closed clavicle fractures get the surgery. But i dont know if thats because with our system people wont/cant pay the cost of the surgery. It would heal without it, its just displaced about 15mm. I dont want to lose strength or range of motion or be lopsided or take forever to heal Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Better than i can get, but i cant charge $500 for a knob Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Surgery thursday for titanium plate Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. does it come in tricycle form? if anyone wants to ride tandem in florida let me know i have to find out if 1 month is enough time for a leisurely road ride for now, i'm thinking the kinetic rock n roll trainer with no hands -- if that works -- might be the way to go
  19. i doubt it, i will just have to use my help for this stuff rather than working on parts for a year out
  20. thanks, on the plus side i PRed the trail loop at 23:00, from about 26 before. with all the leaves and a very crowded day of hikers, so that's not too bad. it was reversing the direction and going clockwise that i got hit. according to strava, i was only going about 10mph at the crash and the decline was either -10% or -18%. not sure if the -18% was the bike tipping over or part of the trail.
