  1. X-ray. 4 weeks after surgery. i've been instructed to wear the sling for 1 more week and start some arm movement. i have excellent internal/external rotation, but can't lift the arm without pain -- the surgeon was able to lift it once i got something to relax, but it was hard for me to find what i was tensing. so i'm supposed to bend over and let my arm hang and do small circles with it. next visit 3 weeks (which ends up 4 because of Christmas/New Years) and thinks i can do stuff like running again
  2. what is a Mac hard drive? is there more to this than costing more $$ and coming pre-formatted for Mac OS?
  3. i dont know if there are any more. none of the sellers actually have the product, and they all take about a week to ship, and they're probably being drop shipped too. these are real though: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2SJ79-Silicon-P-Channel-MOS-FET-Hitachi-Semic-LOT-OF-4-/380350963607?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item588eaf1f97 quantity is too small to interest me though
  4. i'm not saying it will be intentional, the irish whiskey is an odd choice, i'd assume there was some kind of existing personal or business relationship that allowed that to happen. but, given how big headphones are now, it wouldn't surprise me if Grado starts getting a lot of requests and doesn't turn them down. like how you could get a Weber grill with all sorts of different logos on the lid, specifically alcohol makers
  5. what about them? i tested 1 of my known real ones that came from Arrow, from Renesas, when they were still available - it's in the images above.
  6. just a hunch. Grado has not cashed in on the celebrity headphone bandwagon yet. this could be the way. financially maybe their best move. they haven't done anything innovative as far as sound quality in how many decades? so they'll sell the 'celebrity' headphones of the hipsters.
  7. if anyone wants to buy the above transistor tester, here it is: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200981561709 or without the case and no clip probes: http://www.ebay.com/itm/led-Transistor-Tester-Capacitor-ESR-Inductance-Resistor-LCR-Meter-PNP-MOSFET-/231056057317?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item35cc03a3e5
  8. i have a feeling this is the first of many company branded Grados
  9. The results are in, the fake parts actually have a different pin out and now that i know this i can properly test the voltage. K216 = 212 v J79 = 233 v My guess is these are the Sorny parts Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. is there a nearby Brompton dealer? if the wheels are an issue just put them in a box and ship fedex ground, they'll be there friday
  11. i didn't make that image but i laughed when i saw it said Lenesas
  12. there are cables that are mini on one end, regular dp on the other. but i dont know if it's as simple as a cable
  13. because apple uses mini displayport
  14. response i received from utsource about the fake 2sk216/2sj79 parts: wow. so in China, for an item not to be fake, it just has to: 1) exist 2) be something someone can use
  15. http://www.monoprice.com/Product/?c_id=113&cp_id=11307&cs_id=1130703&p_id=10734&seq=1&format=1#largeimage since this has displayport, is all i need to run it off my retina macbook pro a displayport (thunderbolt) cable for full resolution?
  16. here is a photo of the "real" 2SJ79s i also just got from China. both the 2sk216/2sj79 say Malaysia in the plastic (i had to use my microscope to read it) which matches the appearance of a Hitach made in Malaysia part. Some odd characteristics though...the leads seem pretty heavily tinned (both the 2sk216 and the 2sj79 equally). all of the 2SJ79s have a round depression on the tab, as if from a washer or screw head. I suspect this is either a defect from manufacturing (poor tooling, if those holes do get punched or machined) or they were actually mounted at one point
  17. and numerous satisfied buyers leaving positive feedback
  18. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1pcs-2SK216-TO-220-Silicon-N-Channel-MOS-FET-/181048422761?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2a2753b169 this listing on ebay is the same one. they all have the lot number. i've reported this seller's 2sk216 listings to ebay numerous times and they don't care. if i bought from them, that would make 3 sellers with the same counterfeits
  19. its gotta be pretty simple Step 1. apply drugs based on body weight Step 2. wait for surgeon to do job. If something goes wrong, then..
  20. Real left, fake right Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. im having fun watching the insurance bills continue to come in, hopefully get it all done this year before a new deductible kicks in i noticed that the anesthesiologist got paid more than the surgeon. thought that was interesting
  22. just found that one of shipments of 2SK216 from today, which was for 51pcs, actually contains 7 real ones mixed in the tubes. 4 of them are the same lot # and the other 3 are all very different in appearance. now to check the 2SJ79s..
  23. just filed the chargebacks for these latest fake 2SK216/2SJ79. i was actually told that UTSOURCE is challenging my chargeback though i haven't received official word of this yet, i wonder what their grounds are for challenging counterfeit parts. so i now have 4 active chargebacks on these parts.
  24. just got more 2SK216 and 2SJ79 from an ebay seller in China. all of these sellers, regardless of their stated ebay location, ship out of Shenzhen. This seller showed a photo of a authentic looking green Hitachi 2SJ79, and a clearly authentic Renesas 2SK216 in the listing. When I got the parts, they were the same fake 2SK216 and 2SJ79 I received from utsource. same lot codes. when they make fake parts they dont bother to have more than 1 lot code it seems. Here is a dead giveaway on identifying real vs fake 2SK216/2SJ79, which was already posted once in this thread: if the fat part of the leads is short, it's fake. unfortunately, the ebay sellers (some of them) don't always picture the parts you will receive.
  25. a leather bag is going to weigh a lot more than a ballistic nylon bag right?
