The femto clock will be worth the wait and $200 more Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

i doubt it. the additional frequency range on downloads that are not just transcodes is probably garbage anyway. i cant hear above 22khz, my equipment probably doesn't want to reproduce those frequencies, and no one is listening loud enough or has the signal to noise ratio for more than 16-bits. it's possible the market could grow but i think for the most part it's going to stay limited to stuff you don't actually want to listen to. Maybe every once in a while some band will start touting their new 24/192 album and then it will actually be complete garbage...especially if they start trying to prove that they contain more information than a 16/44.1 disc. "hey, look at all this extra crap we left on here for you"
-
nope. i did get a lot of.. "Is this DSD?" nope "Oh, just 24/192?" no, they're CD rips "oh..."

earlier, i said Mike had won because i assumed that there was no result other than Florida making the championship game. i was wrong.
-
i didnt listen to these at new york as i assume i'll have a better opportunity later, but from the impressions it sounds like they're going for that mass market sound
-
there was a melt down in this year's bracket. but it's going to keep getting harder if #6s and #8s get to the championship but it is sort of the least underdog #6 and #8 championship game of all time

the "why not just spend a little bit more.." strategy?
-
i think companies have more success when they market the cheaper product as being "as good as the more expensive one" than when they market the more expensive product as being "not any better than the cheaper one" Those that want to spend $1k on headphones will still get the more expensive pair. Those with just $500-600 to spend will be happy they got something as good as the $1k model. also, the PM-1 has lambskin earpads and the PM-2 has synthetic

i'll be there, i just shipped my stuff to fedex. i may be a little late to the meet if my plane is delayed on Friday, i will have to wait until FedEx opens on Saturday to get my boxes

if arizona loses i think mike wins

this could potentially be good: http://www.sonnettech.com/product/echo15thunderboltdock.html it says it can mount to VESA holes on the back of a monitor to keep it hidden. Well that wouldnt work with my monitor since the stand uses those holes..isnt that true of almost any monitor?

can you fix 50 Cent's Get Rich or Die Trying? -
Tohnichi 12LTD-A (2 to 12lb-in) will cover the full range of torque options except the M3 PEEK screws are supposed to be tightened to 1.3lb-in and for that you'd need the 6LTD-A (1 to 6lb-in). There are more part #s too that have the torque in metric, might be easier to find depending on where you live. Check both options if you're trying to find a used one. i think for TO-220 you should use 5 to 8lb-in depending on the spec of any insulating washers or spring/conical lock washers, assuming a metal screw, for plastic or ceramic screws you will have to go much lower. not sure what it is for TO-126 I picked these up for $75 total on ebay. the gold ones are Tohnichi 12LTD-A and 6LTD-A. The other one im not even sure how to adjust it but it feels nice. Seems designed for high volume assembly. edit: actually the one on the right isnt the 6LTD-A it's a RTD50Z (15-50oz). I have a 6LTD-A (not pictured) but it's in worse condition and is missing the locking ring. still works though

Neil Young claims he was working on an audiophile iPod with Steve Jobs

I will go with "they are douches" for now, however there will probably be some fantastic audiophile recordings no one wants to listen to Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Does a Thunderbolt dock also provide power/charging to the macbook through the TB cable? or maybe there is a TB dock that has a combo TB/MagSafe cable and eliminates the need for the apple power brick?

i have a feeling that the high percentiles among everyone is an indication that most brackets are being computer generated in an attempt to cover unlikely upsets. i was 98% on ESPN until UVA won, and gambling on a #1 losing in the round of 32 only dropped me to 94%
