It didn't hurt that The Wire dudes did Homicide before, right there in Baltimore. Plugging in the drug trafficking and expanding the social side of the story, was a winning strategy. Basically they knew how to explode the plot well.

I went to grad school in Bal'more. I used to bike from north to east of the city. Let me tell you, despite the fact that I was never really near the developments that are pictured in the series, I got to see my share of characters/interesting situations while biking to and from school. IMHO, this show captures the nature of west/east Baltimore accurately. The east market is shown a few times (one of them when the Jimmy's son gets lost). I used to get lunch there frequently. That was just a block from school

FiOS through verizon was great, really great when we had it in MD, USA. The bulk of the matter during installation is to get (out of your control unfortunately, they are hired by verizon, you get a random person) a proficient contractor to do the installation from the street FO to your home, including the box. In our case, one guy came over and he screwed up the installation of the backup battery in the box. Usually installed in the basement. After the connection from the street to the box was done, then a verizon guy shows up to do the in-house setting up. Good luck! this is what I get here

He, he. Saw this last week as well and when I saw the thread title first thing that came to mind was the mojito stuff. Well how does/ did it taste? I've been ti his parent restaurnt jaleos and food was ok, never remarkable , but I am guessing his perSonal bar service is quite different...

Damn, that is looking pretty worrisome. My wife was scheduled to fly out of Heathrow today, but her work schedule changed last week and she got a re-routed flight out of Amsterdam instead. She is flying as we speak! Lucky for us, otherwise it would have taken some last minute shuffling of schedules.
