  1. Very nice Aerius, very nice build. Enjoy. Is it frozen there yet?
  2. Congrats Vicky!! Very nice score Pics when you get a chance!
  3. if this goes through, it is going to take a few weeks for the whole thing. tease...I know, but I am looking forward. , more later. The standard Sidi genius is a bit narrow for my wide feet to go in comfy for a long ride. I have tried the "mega" version of the genius and those fit me well. To give you a relative size comparo: Sidi genius 5.5 42.5 std, tight, Sidi genius 5 mega = good fit; Sidi Ergo1 42 =good fit 2011 Northwave Aerlite SBS, 42, excellent fit, 2011 Northwave evolution SBS, 42 = good fit; 2011 Fizik R1 41.5 = good to very good fit So you can appreciate that the big conundrum of cycling shoes is that even between models on the same brand there is variance. In terms of stack height the sidis with speedplay adapters, have the less ammount. The Fizik the more amount of stack. My favorites are the Ergo1 and the Fizik in terms of the quality of the ride. I thought twice about posting all this, since shoe fit is soo subjective, but I figure, at least the relative ball parks will help you.
  4. on a very bizarre turn of events, I may end up with a replacement bmc, a di2 equipped one, something really different to try. I should know more in about one or two weeks. ;;
  5. Yesterday a very nice b-day with the girls, wife and visiting in-laws. Today we are setting an early b-day party for the younger girl, she is turning 2 already. Her b-day is actually next Friday, but grandparents won't be in town then. Very nice Thanksgiving week, all in all.
  6. Good luck Vicky. The idea of taking your bike is good. And the suggested measuring tape. I agree that it is a no- nonsense in terms of not loosing cash, other than time. But that is all in the game and fun of it anyway. If it fits it is way worth the trip and effort. If not then just a bit more time needs to be invested to recoup.
  7. Happy Birthday!! Have a great one!
  8. Certainly looks like a nice bike. If you can somehow get a feel for fit, in person. That would be the ideal. Just watch that ankle. Good luck and keep us posted.
  9. Beauty!! Enjoy, that is one sexy looking machine! So, how does it ride?
  10. Looking forward to some pics, awesome news!
  11. 4x! That looks like a nice area to practice those. Indeed to get out again on the trails. We had a blast last time.
  12. No riding this weekend (or actually work today.) I got the bug the girls had. Feel like crap. My last ride was my short commute to work this past Thursday.
  13. Happy Birthday!
  14. Very nice looking rack Steve! What is the approx weight of the whole thing?
  15. That looks really cool raffy. (having children, your moniker brings child songs to mind right away)
  16. Happy Birthday!
  17. Thanks Nate I can relate to that, it doesn't really feel like 10 yrs.
  18. Great to hear Vicky! And thanks!
  19. Thanks and I hope so too
  20. I am sorry to hear this Vicky. Hopefully things will turn a better shade soon. In the meantime hang in there and keep blowing that steam out. We are here.
  21. Thanks! and that was an unnecessary scare you got there
  22. Thanks!
  23. Thanks Chris!
  24. Thanks Al! it was a riot with the cake
  25. A very, very low key 10th wedding anniversary. Both girls are sick so no going out. Maybe next week when the grandparents are in town we can have a date One thing that was very nice: Julie was able to convince the bakery that made the wedding cake, to make on short notice a smaller sized version of the opera wedding cake. It was funny to see the girls try to process the fact that we had a cake, that was not a birthday cake. The older could not fathom such travesty and kept asking whose birthday was it anyway. ha! We had a good time
