  1. Cool Chris, now you have a kit for tomorrow and Monday I was able to get out today for a nice ride, despite the clouds most of the day. At some point I thought the rain was imminent, so far it held out. Hope to do the same tomorrow. .....
  2. Congrats indeed!
  3. Have fun riding. Tomorrow and Sat seem the best riding days. I should be able to get out on Sat as well.
  4. Glad to hear that no surgery will be needed. Speedy healing. .....
  5. Sorry to hear about Miko loss Ric, condolences.
  6. Have fun Chris. That is it for me for long organized rides in September with the CWC. .....
  7. Did 75 miles today as some sort of preparation for the CWC. Only 3100 feet of climbing though, so it is a long shot from the century course. The biggest training success for me is that I finally was able to pace myself pretty well. Kept the overall highest speed in flat terrain at 18 mph max and paced also the uphills. I guess this is where training with a power meter would really help. Ended the ride feeling well, legs tired but not shot and was able to do the last 10 miles upping the speed to top 23-24 mph on flats.
  8. My goal for the CWC is to the 65 mile bail out point. My longest ride this year has been 60 miles as well, but not nearly that much climbing at all. So it should be interesting.
  9. I'll be at the Civil War Century that day. Hope to double what I did last year
  10. First pic: the dreamers, good movie
  11. Not today but yesterday: 12hrs in a car driving down from Boston (including a gazillion of pit stops.) Yikes .....
  12. Did 23 out of old orchard again today! Absolutely gorgeous weather. Then hit the beach until a few mins ago. I could most definitely get used to this ) https://ridewithgps.com/routes/5571922 .....
  13. Went for a 27 mile road out of Old Orchard beach. Beautiful area. Nice rolling hills. The garmin 800 did a great job with navigation. This is most of the route I borrowed: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/5203858 [Edit] Route: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/5572087 .....

  19. I was just thinking that if I ever was to go on trial, I wish to have Purk on the Jury. He only sees the good in people. Good for you man.
  20. Congrats Nate and wife! And many more!
  21. Actually I know Phil is not Larry. However for the time I remember, commercially, Larry was the person to deal with, if you wanted an amp from Larrocco. No matter how brilliant PPL is/was, the crap from Larry is what I remember associated with either PPL or Larrocco names. Capisce?
  22. I know, I really liked my ergo2 but after about 2hrs on the saddle the "a bit too tight" became evident. So I am hoping these will work. Bonts are great. I did have to fiddle with the A1 to get them to fit properly. There are some QC issues with their soles. I had a raised rivet on the sole and had to literally hammer it down otherwise they hurt. What I really need it to do is sell a bunch of stuff I have around to be able to get a lighter wheelset for the hills. That I actually really need. ha ha. Anyone interested in Speedplay Zero pedals?
  23. I was like, ppl....?? Who is ppl??? sort of brings out audio-related memories, but then like a breath of putrid air, it came along the name Larry Milligan. yuck, man I could have done with out those memories...
  24. Whoa Al, that was scary. Glad to hear everything is OK now. Time to do the list of things that were eaten that day. If it was that strong of a reaction, it was probably eaten within 1hr or less of the incident?
  25. Yeah, that is a deal. The only thing to be aware of, is that they will ship via Parcel Force. There is a possibility that they will hand off the parcel to FedEx. Usually Parcel Force will relay to USPS. If the parcel goes through FedEx, you can expect to be hit by brokerage fees, with out exception. Having said that, I did order a pair of fluoro-yellow I had a pair of Ergo2 in 42 that were a bit tight, so I went with 42.5 on the wire. It seems that the wires per se are a bit wider than the Ergo mold to begin with, so I should be OK.
