  1. If there is any snow in MI when I get back I will be pissed. I left for 5 weeks hoping it would all melt, after all.
  2. I think I am getting to the same point. I can have two shots of espresso and go right to bed. After this cigar it took me a good 3 hours to finally sleep. They are petty good. I really like a number of the smaller cigars and I find that the higher wrapper to fill ratio is nice, though I mentioned this to some asshole cigar douche in London who tried to argue that this wasn't a factor at all. I find I also like my cigars a bit dryer that might be achievable in this climate as towards the end (especially the larger diameter) get all soggy and soft. The dryer seems to impart a certain spiciness I like.
  3. Bolivar Corona
  4. Gambled. Whoever thought water, coffee and Milo should be the only option at a casino needs to be shot. On the flip side, the vast number of baccarat tables unlike 2 tables on a good night in Vegas is nice. Also no double-zero roulette nonsense.
  5. Even the Chinese have standards...
  6. Fuckers. Or. Cunts.
  7. I can't believe you guys haven't seen the light with pluggable PCB connectors.
  8. Tapatalk seems to be down for me. Anyone else having problems?
  9. A few of these bad boys..
  10. Perhaps add a bit more rail capacitance and holes next to the power supply pads for probe points. I would also space the test point locations out a bit. Yeah there are probably lots of little things here and there.
  11. There is also an aesthetic concern. I like the legs to come straight off the devices and then have a single 90 degree bend. Going thicker means you won't have enough lead material to do this. You will also have to bend at the base of the transistor, if I recall. The concern doing this is arcing from the lead to the bracket edge if this angle becomes significant. You can avoid this by machining more off the edge, but then you don't get as good heat transfer between the device and the bracket as part of the case slug is exposed to free air.
  12. I love owing money for that very reason.
  13. How electrically do tubes die? What is open and what is short?
  14. No, it was the next run when someone other than Kevin or Birgir did one.
  15. Every one has some issue with some tube vendors. JJ to me seems the worst though. The Winged-C at Upscale are the older ones though, IIRC.
  16. Those headaches would be interesting, considering its direct attached.
  17. Are you using jumbo frames?
  18. Matched pairs. If you buy from Upscale you will probably get a close quad as they work from a decent inventory.
  19. nopants: you didn't miss much other than a lesson in gain structure with the F5 + K1000.
  20. Unless you have perfect math and tolerances, leaving some extra room in the panel bearing might be a good idea. You can go a bit bigger and the nut (not to mention the knob) will cover it up.
  21. I probably have $1K in the Ball and more like $1400 in the Sinn. Have boxes and all paperwork for each. I would go down a bit as I am getting a good deal on their replacement. Also willing to let anyone inspect them on loan. More looking for interest (enablement) as I am out if the country and the Sinn is getting serviced in Germany.
  22. Ah. Doesn't help my theory then Sent from my unknown using Tapatalk
