I believe the issue has less to do with the manufacturer and more to the issues that Craig brings up regarding the difference between DC current draw and AC current draw. Too many people think that if the circuit draws 100mA then that's what the transformer needs to be spec'ed at, when it's much more complicated than that. Then they claim using "massively oversized" transformers as a feature when likely they just stumbled upon the right number. Also, failure to specify a particular temp rise and then holding the vendor to that number is another problem.

Lots of CnC talk in this thread, so asking the question here... Given the number of DIY projects and kit CnC out there, what are the most current recommendations? I know several people have desktop CnC and would like to see what direction they would go if shopping in today's market.

As an engineer why not appreciate the art of accurate watchmaking? Surely one could be entitled to do so if they wished, whether they were an engineer by trade or not, notwithstanding their bargain-hunting skills.

Curious if it was (mathematical) division or something like Twixt for iOS... I discovered Twixt when I had the exact same idea when reading HPA post about EXIF data. They also use the microphone (Kello for iOS), which might work well, who knows.

Drats lost my post. How did you measure it so precisely? I just eyeball it and my 9F62 is still right on after a year or so. I think the temperature compensation and magnetic protection helps a lot to get that accurate.

So you are saying that measurements themselves can be expectation biases I am all for someone spending whatever money they want on whatever they want. I would be curious if not expectation bias, but actual brain activity was different knowing that one just purchased a kilobuck cable. I think this would actually be groundbreaking research, as many think it's all made up and doesn't actually impact the listener in an "chemical" (for lack of a better term) way. Definitely not DBT so we are talking past each other. The design needed angles precision on the edges of .1 degree and thought the BB would glue up better... .. And ply has benefit of constrained damping as a built in benefit. .. And MDF was too damn heavy.
