Is there any interest in a small LSK389 SOIC-8 group buy? By myself I need 40 so hitting the 100 MOQ is probably feasible with just a few participants. I think they will run in the $2.50/ea (fingers crossed), I have a RFQ out to Trendsetter in ATX.
Sunk costs should not affect the rational decision-maker's best choice. However, until a decision-maker irreversibly commits resources, the prospective cost is an avoidable future cost and is properly included in any decision-making processes.
The irony is there is an upgrade for the K-01 that you aren't opting for, most importantly which addresses the horrible output stage implementation that Esoteric is known for.
So there is a place to rave about it when it arrives! .. And then something to get picked up by the search engines to help maintain value when it gets sold and the next FTOM arrives!
