What are you listening to Part the Third
It does indeed, it's a great performance. I stumbled upon it on eBay and nabbed it, but no it's not generally available, but a few in the series are available at some of the big places at blowout prices, as they are SACD layer only.

Good luck! I would probably watch Yahoo Auctions rather than sending a friend to hunt around Akihabara Town. I will be there weekend after next, though and if I see any I will grab them for KG amp fans - don't hold your breath though.

Yeah, they have to generate a new license.- What Are You Building Today
Picked the wrong time to upgrade Diptrace. The old licenses aren't compatible with the new version so waiting for sales to help me upgrade. I am pretty sure my old license would work on the older version, if anyone was interested in a "slightly used" software license- The Multi Amp aka Dynalo Mk2

I just hold them down with my tweezers and press "measure". Here are the curves:- What Are You Building Today
Curve trace matching SOT transistors anyone?- goldenreference low voltage power supply
Look at the TPS7A4700. There are some very creative layouts on eBay even. It's a 4uV noise design and pretty much plug and play.- What Are You Building Today
Ok, got a differential front end (balanced-balanced and balanced-SE) working today and zeroed DC offset on a whole lot more of these little modules. Seems to perform really well!- CanLanta 2016 - 5/21/16

The fabled L3 is likely going to be called the Apsara. I have built that topology in a power amp before, but the headphone amp has considerable refinements over that circuit (which is lovely nevertheless). The tube amp I had at the show was the Copenhagen which is a pentode amp. Also lovely - pentodes are underappreciated. Solid-State Buffer, or just a symbol of convience?- The ultimate DIY? A Stax SRM-T2!
Kerry, for all that awesomeness, I still can't get behind: transformers in the rear (which stacks under the input stage and near PSU output connectors) and mounting transistors that way (versus angle bracket). Just my $0.02 though, beautiful work and what an amazing assent as a DIYer- Part Sourcing Assistance/Advice Thread
Got some of the above to play around with, assuming no other suggestions from the peanut gallery- I shorted out the power transformer while recasing my dynahi. Help
This is why I asked you to define what a short is. It seems you don't know what a short is, from your answer or how to measure one. Anyways, don't use the little beeping thing. Just measure resistance.- I shorted out the power transformer while recasing my dynahi. Help
Ok, so what is the definition of a short then? Looks like your transformer and Ohm's Law came out unscathed.- I shorted out the power transformer while recasing my dynahi. Help
As opposed to negative ohms? You want to measure resistance.- I shorted out the power transformer while recasing my dynahi. Help
Define "short" within the largest precision available.- And now what did you do TODAY?
Made an offer on a house. First viewing four hours after listing and we have been informed by the owners that they have 8 showings scheduled tomorrow and Sunday and will make a decision then. I don't know why I even bother dealing with the real estate market, it's never been kind to me.- Dynahi, thinking about rerouting
Looks interesting, I would probably build one.- Part Sourcing Assistance/Advice Thread
Can anyone recommend a good surface mount, dual polarity, >50V, high hfe, in a power package that can do > 0.5W per package? I am looking at the PBSS4160PANPS but want more gain, if I can.- Part Sourcing Assistance/Advice Thread
I just bought now OOP p-ch surface mount JFETs - that seems a bit crazy.- digital attenuator
Exactly. I suppose you could parallel each position and calculate closest parallel equivalent, but yes - this is more important than 0.01% because in fact a 1% might randomly get you closer to then ideal value.- What are you listening to Part the Third
