  1. So it begins (again)
  2. But can you _actually_ see it from space?
  3. You can have too much forum distortion though.
  4. Kevin, how are you processing the ISO files? Sonore, XLD, TRAX? I assume you are outputting DSD for playback?
  5. Portion of your design is copyrighted by Headphile and the other is very "un Dr. Wood"....
  6. The answer is "Yes, it still works". Sweet, very happy with this method!
  7. Any idea if a firmware upgrade for the 103 will remove the ripping feature? Perhaps I need to create an account on CA :/
  8. The only issue there is many board fans won't do plated slots. I would verify you have at least one reasonably priced fab that can, before moving forward.
  9. You can remove the lugs and replace them with right angle pins.
  10. I think if your bottom became a top, that might just work.
  11. There are a few ways to do it. If you attach the heatsink to the transistor case, you pay a pretty large thermal penalty. I think the best way is a large land with an attached heatsink.
  12. Transistors. Check out the picture
  13. Is there a good source of info on doing the multi region back on the 103 that still is compatible with the SACD ripping "feature"?
  14. What do the Triplanar arms go for these days on the gently used market?
  15. I have a 103 on the way agreed on all points.
  16. I had totally forgotten about krmathis!
  17. The problem I have found in the past is the noise spectra (between units) differ when doing this with switching supplies, and they don't correlate in a way where the usual circuit topology will cancel such things out. It's clearly visible on a FFT. Granted my experience is at much higher currents than here, but I would look for this when doing the final measurement of the amp.
  18. Kerry, are the switchers +/- in a single unit, dual-mono, or one switcher per polarity?
  19. Ok, ok - let me back in. I take it all back!
  20. I have done that one a few times myself - too easy.
