  1. Well, ordered. Also, Silver Papier is an "in stock" color and cheaper. I can't wait to get them and hopefully it won't be too tricky to get them installed. I have some electrical work to do in the room and reconfiguring the closet. Then I want to do some recessed lighting (doesn't look too hard to DIY, mostly need to map out where the joists are above) then will look at the ceiling treatments. That's my end year goal for the room.
  2. Nelson Pass has tried it.
  3. I don't have any other decent spots to put it. My goal is to literally break every acoustic rule of thumb as possible in one room. Yeah, that's the ticket.
  4. @swt61 also the Silver Papier isn't a solid color like the rest and has more texture and some whiter streaks in it. It's more obvious in the last picture.
  5. The lower left is my favorite too. It's Silver Papier. Eucalyptus is two up from that. Here are these two in my bathroom, which is the same wall color but with way more lighting. https://drive.google.com/open?id=0ByiOVOm07uqqWGh3bENsRWZyNFU
  6. True statement! Paging@swt61!
  7. This album proved that I can definitely create a feedback loop with my speaker that close - even when wall mounting the turntable
  8. I guarantee my own devices just let me know, I am off next week.
  9. What do you need matched Chris? I need some zen moments in front of the matcher.

  11. Here they are in the flesh. Lighting makes it a bit harder I think. These should be full resolution links: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0ByiOVOm07uqqMkVsR0FISGdZQUE https://drive.google.com/open?id=0ByiOVOm07uqqd2tpR1h1TlVxMEk
  12. You need to lay off the control key! Or is that required for all those weird Icelandic characters?
  13. Yeah, I have noticed the same - especially on semiconductors.
  14. In the Southern Hemisphere you do.
  15. My work is done.
  16. I was thinking Eucalyptus
  17. heh. okay, since you spoke up Current wall color is this: https://www.sherwin-williams.com/homeowners/color/find-and-explore-colors/paint-colors-by-family/SW6204#/6204/?s=colorDetails&p=PS0 Suggestions from here? https://www.guilfordofmaine.com/patterns/2100 I'm thinking something that is a near match or would blend.
  18. Things are sounding much better - I really improved the stereo imaging in the process. I am probably going the GIK Acoustics route next - ordered a Gilford of Maine swatch book to pick out some fabric... I also have some ideas on how I will permanently integrate the ULN-2 into my system, now that I am comfortable with it. It sounds quite nice. Final graph - each line is combined stereo from the listening position (the difference between the lines was some experimentation with two different phase plug configurations on the Lowthers) Hoping to smooth things out a bit with treatments and trap the heck out of the bass.
  19. For science
  20. I can't really get rid of that 100Hz problem with crossover slopes or frequency. I have somewhat addressed the channel imbalance though? I applied the mic calibration file, which really ends up showing a lot of high frequency attenuation in the final graph. I'm surprised about that. I also setup the automatic correction. Here's green is the right channel: Splitting it out (again greens are right), with Half-Hanning windowing:
  21. The problem is that I have to physically move a cable to go from left channel to right channel testing :/ I was trying to avoid this somehow. Maybe hook up the other channel to the monitor output?
  22. Thinking about this, I don't think it is possible.
  23. ok, yet another question. So, I'd like to take advantage of the FuzzMeasure Automatic Correction feature. I have an extra mic-pre input I can use (analog input 2 via XLR). Where can I plug the other end of the cable to create a loopback? I'd rather not use the Analog output, as that's what I'm driving the right and left channels. Could I use the receive? If so, how can I assign a channel to that that can be selected by FuzzMeasure? I think there is some routing magic that needs to happen here.
  24. Looks like a perfect storm. General channel imbalance as well as something happening around 100 Hz. The orange color is the left channel. Now, that is with the full-rangers and extension subs, two measurements (one per channel). If I split it out into four measurements and then a single measurement with everything on in stereo (the black line), I get: In this case, the left channel colors are "green" and "orange". So, I guess my question is, can I attribute this to the room, or is there something else going on in the chain....
  25. Oh and one more question - what's the difference between using the monitor out and the analog out? The former has a front panel control and the later has a -10dB or +4dB attenuator, but are they functionally equivalent other than that?
