I have had this fault actually happen and it was protected by a ground loop breaker using a thermistor and half of a bridge. See the arrangement in the F5 Turbo First Watt project.

The fuse should calculated as follows: Total VA transformer rating divided by line voltage times 133%. In rush configuration should be whatever is necessary to make this value work in practice, given the capacitance in the power supply. This might be a thermistor or may need to be a relay switching a resistor.

Well, the Sunfire turned out to be a great choice, especially when I found the dreaded LFE+MAIN setting on my receiver. I also was rather impressed with the Best Buy Magnolia "Design Center" which there is one in Austin - which happens to be the closest to my house. I ended up with one of these for center. Need to re-Audessy things once we get some furniture moved around and then looking forward to the final product.

Now you just need a second on the other side of the board

No, it goes to this: You can see it exiting the cabinet here Overhead

I ended up using Symposium Rollerblock Jr. I already turned in my "objectionivist" card. In action https://drive.google.com/open?id=0ByiOVOm07uqqTlp2eWdwSGIwakE

I made a cable

Hm, let me try on the desktop version.

Hm. Tapatalk maybe is having problems with videos? Well, you can think why the cork blocks wouldn't work (tried those) - the turntable is on a shelf already which constrains which dimensions it can move in. It can't really move up and down as the wall won't allow that more or less (I am not a "physicist" like a certain other headphone amplifier manufacturer). The problem seems to be in the other direction ("in" and "out") - add some pseudo-science, hand-waving, etc. here

Turntable isolation. Volume made a difference to some extent. I also seem to getting massive static buildup which isn't getting drained away via the earth connection. It takes about 75% of a side and then goes a bit nuts, even with the needle a few mm from the record (and the mat just sticks like glue to the record). Regardless, this problem was definitely feedback and seems totally gone. https://vimeo.com/199100859

Back to my "crazy Feedback problem".... So, after playing with an embarrassing number of snake-oil laden isolation devices, which I will never ever admit in public, I have a solution. I tried inflatables (wide open, I know), squishy balls (not getting better), sorbothane (not really that one is a joke), spikes (not really into that)... things costing $0-$1000. I have to say this was easy because of my Enya torture track - surprisingly snake oil salesmen don't like empirical tests and demanded more "listening". Ok, anyone (maybe only Dusty cares) want to guess what worked? Hint is that it is a pretty large "isolation" vendor. I would have never tried it, but had a somewhat local vendor with some demo units and they just worked...

goldenreference low voltage power supply

The only instability I would be worried about that isn't proven is lots of capacitance on the output. So, if your are connecting the PSU to a board with say 1000uF rail capacitance - I might start to worry. -
I decided to go with the Sunfire HRS-10. I used to drool over the Sunfire brand back in the day, so it's a bit nostalgic. Still considering the center channel, looking for opinions there

Finished up my data center closet shelf. Most of the work is hidden behind my UPS, but basically coax, Ethernet and power in a 2-gang wall plate.

Jeff, you would fit right into the Chinese bike culture with those mitts

I use Octave. - the et. al.

What is that felty thing on the woofer called? Some sort of mass loading?
-
I can't see the model on your pictures, but if it's the UFW-10 it's 13.5" H x 13.25" W x 13" D which would be perfect.

There is no way I can bring two into the house. So, I would say either give the pair to Nate, or if he wants a single we can split them I would think finding a matching single down the road would be tough. What are the dimensions?

Sorry, that was vague - $500 for the center channel. The price for the subwoofer would be in the price range of the three listed above. I think I will avoid DIY for the subwoofer. The center channel might be a necessity.
