How closely to an opamp’s stated “absolute maximum” voltage ratings would you guys run? The devices in question are OPA211 and LMH6321 are behind a regulated supply. They are rated to 36v so I was thinking of running within 10% of that. With easy to find resistor values in my regulator, that is +/- 17.7v, but I would try and find something a bit lower to hit the 10% goal. Power dissipation isn’t an issue here, just voltage rails. What say the veteran designers of HC?

@swt61 might I recommend Austin?

There are also drop in replacement for the Omron relays by Panasonic. I think my board will take JTN1S-PA-F-DC12V or the Omron (now EOLed?) G8P-1C4P DC12

Chris, if I can find it - I have a nice companion board to the e24 that mounts a power relay in the exact same PCB mounting pattern (edit: as the Crysom SSR that amb was suggesting. I made this board as that configuration was a hum generator like you wouldn’t believe). I have one running in an amp and need two more. If I have extras, it’s yours. Otherwise we can run some more. I have just finished a new circuit that that I would like to turn into a e24 replacement when I get time. It is the fixed version of this: https://www.head-case.org/forums/uploads/monthly_2017_02/58b4f1a297001_ScreenShot2017-02-27at9_40_03PM.png.c7f8f3b1a31f403b127566da27645324.png It is running in my TT PSU now and while I have an extra board, it probably needs a more generic layout that looses the micro controller inputs. It is small enough that it might fit on the back of a o24-like transformer board, providing an all in one.

Heh, if you do drop by, I still could use a lesson is routing flush the hardwood veneers on the corner horns... well that and a router. I have been wanting to start building the grills, but can’t do that until things are nice and flush around the openings.

Thanks JP. I ordered another chair from the same vendor, in “upgraded” leather. I think it could have been packed a bit better, you can see on the front corner of the seat where it was compressed in shipping. I think it will even out, but still. The leather is decent, I expect the cheaper option wouldn’t be passable. Will be a good office chair for the home-office-bedroom.

Funny, I just ordered two (of the MC that is) [emoji4] Not that you will be able to keep them around, but they definitely have a nice caramel flavor when aged a bit. Ah, you mean the actual panatelas. You should compare with the Montecarlos, I can send you some next time I hit the Post Office:

Team 5-Pin has initiation rites that harken back to the cult of Pythagoras. Your theory can not be confirmed or denied.

Team 5-Pin is an elite organization. You do not just “foresee” joining Team 5-Pin. It joins you.

Jp, did you end up trying one of these?

@grawk Something you might like trying - Por Larranaga Montecarlos

Flew to Tampa today for an interview. Perhaps I am doing this wrong?

This is an excellently mastered album!

Good to hear. I have a pretty competitive FAN / discount plan, so it would be possible mine would go up in cost. Can you get SIM cards for other devices to share data? I should probably RTFM.
-
How do your out-the-door costs compare, before and after?

Part calf work out, part pencil sharpening.

No wires! Going to try and cram another HDMI input coming from the wall plate with the wire you see (subwoofer out from upcoming soundbar).

Has anyone tried the AudioCast M5 streamer? http://audiocast.io/ Looking to use it for my patio rig...

Maybe they sell a cigar fridge that you can put wine in? Those are New-Air. They are quiet and very cheap to run. I plan on expanding with more... maybe even some with wine in them.

I think you get can sheep intestine as a latex alternative these days.

Yeah, had one of those HDThingies and it seems more like a Brent-level product. I would suggest the TiVO. It's like 5x more expensive though.

Agreed. Tried OTA HD out? It's surprisingly good and immediately you can tell the difference between that, ripped and cable provider content.
