  3. so, just for grins, try the RCA outputs and see if you feel the amp has enough gain
  4. drivers and crossover parts are readily available from any supplier, such as Madisound.
  5. note that this depends on how much gain your source has. My digital source is pretty low output and this gain would definitely not work well with the HD650 in my case, as I felt that 7 (isn't that the next step up that amb lists?) was lacking a bit when listening to swt61 beta22. He listened as well, as I'm sure he'd agree. You can definitely start running into (too) low output source with various CDPs and of course phono stages. Just something to be mindful of.

  10. would it make sense to have the head-case logo go to head-case.org and not /forums, so there would be an easy way to get back to the main page which shows unread posts? Perhaps there's another link that is constant across all pages that can do this?

  16. I cannot believe I'm starting another project The silver-lining is the fact that I get to play with 3-phase AC I really might have to get Spritzer to harvest some of his oven parts for me...

  18. alert!! a travesty is about to occur. I will have both opamps and a chipamp in my main rig soon! Blasphemy! Nevermind they are for turntable motor controllers (one DC and one AC, yes I'm insane), this is an outrage! I can hardly hit the "buy" button at 41hz.com.
