  1. Will do in a bit - no components, but pretty cheap. Info here: http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?t=313775
  2. Cool! The servo changes documented in the above post and that’s it?
  3. I have a few boards left I can also send it your way, sure. The box is a cheap one and perfect for the job: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F262410258901
  4. This is also the single still version, Maison Surrenne Galtaud, which was about double the cheaper stuff. Glad to supply if you are after something I have
  5. Looks like you need to start claiming your home as partial business use. Maybe an ultra exclusive gym with one member?
  6. 2009 Lusi
  7. First time wearing this since it came back from service.
  8. I dunno, looks like the services of a certain retired circular hole cutter tech might be needed...
  9. A mains fuse should be rated for the transformer, regardless of how much current the amplifier draws.
  10. I believe this is absolutely possible, through varying distortion harmonic levels. I think for example, dominant third-order harmonics, could be a “voicing” of sorts.
  11. In generally, nicer irons get you better recovery time (ahem). In general, use the largest tip you can, as things seem to go faster that way (squints). Preheating the board using a secondary source can assist in getting the deed done efficiently (slowly backs away).
  12. You might calculate the difference in dB - usually a good ear can hear say 0.5dB difference - might be a good sanity check.
  13. Does that make Steve, Otis?
  14. ... or properly sized ground spokes instead of solid ground plane connections. Just taking a board and ordering it with moar copper isn’t always the best idea.
  15. So, general features I am after are: Momentary switch operation Remote trigger input Support for more than one temperature sensor (not thermal breakers) Antiparallel bi-color LED indication Support for AC-DC switcher and AC transformer footprints High current relay control (mechanical and SSR, though I am done with SSRs) Probably three PCBs - transformer, control and relay. Other requests? Maybe IR control?
  16. Done some work on this. I've come to the conclusion to do the logic I'd like, I really need a microcontroller. So, going to start from scratch with that assumption. Sigh.
  17. Next time you are there I would take the 7 they have in stock, assuming it would be cheaper for you to ship them to me then for them to use DHL...
  18. Wow, $15/ea. I would prefer a third of that
  19. I could use help finding the up spec’ed / sorted / higher voltage LME49610 parts. I would like a decent number of these. Any sources?
  20. Any idea if a traditional drill press can deal with ... perpendicular force ... I am not sure the proper term, against the drill arbor? I would think the answer is no?
  21. CAP GARDEN!!!!
  22. Something like this, in various sizes. I have just bought them one-off in the exact sizes I need: https://www.mcmaster.com/#2919A34 I use them to sink socket head screws and in this case to ensure no contact between portions of the PCB (through hole plating) and the bracket. I think I am specifying no through-hole plating, but I guess the fab won’t honor it. What I want is odd - exposed copper pad on the bottom of the board (which I call out with a copper pour) and no through-hole plating with no copper on the top of the board. (So a pad with only copper on the bottom). For my production run it will be a requirement that likely I will have to ask specifically about.
  23. Yeah, working non the other side this weekend. I have a good set of counterbore bits now and can show off the results when I am done. That first MOSFET logo is one for KG and Craig - not one you see these days - Harris. The rest are indeed the Sony VFET, similar design to this one, which uses a small fortune of devices: http://www.firstwatt.com/pdf/art_sony_vfet_40yr.pdf
  24. I am about ready to tackle this one. Would you be up for collaborating on this?
