  1. well, the spreadsheet is just the same spreadsheet that Jeff sends as an invoice.
  2. have you purchased from Glass Jar Audio before?
  3. I'm a firm member of team single chassis. Dual chassis is/was FOTM, meaning something the consumer wanted, but something the serious designers saw issues with... perhaps, people are suddenly realizing that.
  4. hah! I'll ask NP I'm assuming you're poking fun at me? anyways, either it meets the specs or it doesn't. My guess is that it does.
  5. Pass labs Unveils XP-15 Phono Preamp | AV Guide "The extremely low-noise/high-gain structure of the XP-15 is capable of delivering more than 0.5 Volt of line-level signal output with a cartridge input of 80 micro-volts (0.08 mv). Pass Labs believes these to be the best performance figures in the industry for a phono-stage." I'm guessing it's pretty similar to the Xono, to get those gain figures...
  6. LED + BJT CCS FTW!
  7. ok, we are getting close to being set on initial payments. I have made arrangements or received payments from all but 1 member. At this point, Icarium is going to PM you with details about the sigma22 orders. We can go ahead and move forward on those. I am working on the input transformer side of things. I will be taking orders for two different transformers and two different options on each. Details here: diyAudio Forums - GB: Sowter 10K:10K Input Transformer - Page 1 ... "current info" here diyAudio Forums - GB: Sowter 10K:10K Input Transformer - Page 2 ... and sign-up and more concise information is here: diyAudio.com Wiki - projects by fanatics, for fanatics I'm committed to getting this working, as I will be using this on my own Dynafet. I will buy a pair of each model to experiment with both options. As I've said before, these transformers really prefer a constant impedance volume control, like a stepped attenuator. At worse case, we would have to use a relay based attenuator that mimics a stepped attenuator (lots of relays) or a actual stepped attenuator, if we couldn't get some sort of hybrid arrangement working. Just a small disclaimer. From my calculations, this group buy will probably put us right where we need to be (50 Cinemags and 12 Sowters), and once this happens, I'll close the group buy shortly thereafter and begin invoicing. Please read the first thread posted above. *** If you want to, please PM me or Icarium your preference and we will add you to the DiyA wiki ***

falkon: welcome, I think you just passed the first test
  11. no. We will pay Jeff individually, except for perhaps Team Spain.
  12. So, a bit of an update. Things are slowly coming together. I have 2 payments so far using "e-check", which there seems to be a flat $5 fee for using. I'd recommend using this. However, one thing to note is it can take a while. I really need a bulk of the money in my bank account (which means I then have to transfer from PayPal) on Monday. This is looking like this may be hard to do. So, if you're using an "e-check" I'd really like you to start the process by COB tomorrow. Same with mailing a paper check, or money order. If you're using other PayPal methods, you have a bit of time, but don't wait until the last second, please. Also, try and use a PayPal calculator to figure in the fees. Let's not drag this out too long guys. Team Spain: YGPM Icarium: Feel free to chime in if I missed any salient details.

  18. Honestly, just a remote with as few buttons as possible is what I'm looking for. Even a dead BAT or Rogue remote would be awesome... I kinda like the look of that 1010, and went through too much trouble to get one, and it seems to be defective... so, I suppose suggestions on a simple remote that looks good would work too.
  19. Duggeh: shoot me your e-mail via PM and I'll forward it his way. This might be like me telling Steve who lives in Port Aransas, Texas about a good deal in El Paso, Texas.. who knows... edit: see here http://www.s11audio.com/
  20. Power dissipation built to the schematic and the proposed boards will be 3.75W per device times 8 devices per board. Of course this scales up quite nicely, given larger heat sinks and potentially larger power supply rails. Figure 2.5 times more power than a beta22 and you'll be in the right ball park.
  21. If anyone is considering a 1U chassis, this will be the least of their issues
  22. The only thing I've noticed, is that the 2.5" height aren't available without pins.
  23. Hey guys, I have a quick request. I've been looking around for a very simple remote that uses the Philips RC5 command set, and have stumbled on this beauty: Philips - Universal remote control TV zapper black - SRU1010/10 - 1000 series - Remote controls - Accessories ... problem is, I cannot seem to find this in the US. The part number is Philips SRU1010/10. Assuming that this isn't a problem with my search skills sucking, would it be possible for someone to forward me one of these over the pond? I see you can get them at Amazon.co.uk, and I see the non-US ebay sites seem to carry them as well ... Philips SRU1010 - Universal remote control - infrared: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo

  25. hey, I asked Icarium to only share it in PM, I think he's in the process of sending out PMs. As for the sigma22 kits, I think we're +- a few dollars, but I'll let Dan answer that. If there is doubt, just pay the higher price that includes the board mount heat sinks.
