Anyone ever run across solderable bus bars? Here is a picture of them being used in a Rowland amplifier. http://www.shine7.com/audio/jeff.htm

Perhaps one of these Japanese machines? They are pretty cool.

This thread die? I will trying an excite it a bit. What grips do folks use around here? Do you prefer more or less contact with the shaft, for example a pinkie on the tip? More of a front loaded grip, or more rear?

The “pot grounds” as you call them, should be connected to the PSU ground. The two Dynahi chassis should be connected together. Then a ground loop breaker between PSU ground and the chassis. XLR pin 1 should be connected to the chassis. IEC Earth to the chassis via proper hardware.

Yeah, it’s this one: http://www.firstwatt.com/pdf/art_lxmini%20crossover.pdf

Yay, found the problem. Tomorrow will be listening day!

Installed the front end buffer boards. I will have to adjust DC offset outside of the circuit as the trimmers aren’t oriented the right way to be able to get at in situ. Now to track down a ground loop :/ (or what I am perceiving as one, based on frequency response graph)

A somewhat of a Franken-Pass.

I have used the Stax pinout, but since they use different pin geometries that probably isn’t a very rational decision

Here’s the strap I bought, it’s alright - not Omega strap quality - the holes look like they will easily fray (the Omega seem to be burned through), which if I could rectify would be good enough.

I am really enjoying this one. It doesn’t feel too big. Only gripe is the date is a bit recessed, but probably due to the extra GMT complication?

Was thinking about a Cincy Straps, Goldfinger-era Bond, with that bit of red. Thoughts?

I purchased one of these today! Looking for a strap or two recommendations, something easier to adjust on the fly compared to a bracelet and makes the red pop on the face

None at the moment. I will keep you in mind, though, thanks! I have one more place to check locally, then might find look in Denver, as that’s where I am headed next.

Hi. Would anyone be able to perhaps help me track down a bottle a bottle of Foursquare 2005? http://thefatrumpirate.com/foursquare-rum-distillery-2005 I haven’t seen these on the shelf, but Spec’s has it listed as “Limited Availability” at their Houston store, for example. Thanks!

I used the SCA Service Center in NJ. This is the second piece I got back from them and they paid a lot of attention to detail. For example, they replaced worn screws in the band and realigned the crown so when tightened its pleasantly orientated.

Seiko did a wonderful job on maintaining my GS. Here is the clean bill of health!

Cheers Antonio!

After adding some isolation to my speakers: .. and new power isolation unit which can run all three amps of mine! Sadly, the door hinge is in the way, which means I have to take the back door of the rack off and slide it back a few extra inches

Thank you! I'm trying to push the boundaries around spacing a pair of EL34 output tubes pretty close to each other. It seems standard minimum recommendation is spacing of 1.5 times the envelope diameter. The EL34 is 33.3mm and I'd like to space them 1" apart (2" center-to-center). What about rotating one 90 degrees of the other, or another specific orientation, as the heat dissipation patterns are directional, I'd think. Do you have any guidance on positioning, assuming I'd like to get them pretty close together - like you see on Atma-Sphere, etc?
