Heh. I am hoping all this rain this week raises the lake a fair bit.

I have some friends with these. All I know is it hurts less when you fall. I am more looking for something a bit less... sporty.

I do the brine thing. I can find my notes if anyone cares. The biggest problem is not allocating enough time. I usually get the Costco two packs and really need to start early to get them both ready by dinner.

What are current HC recommendations for watercraft? Canoe / Kayak / Sail Boat / Party Barge options are of interest.

The engraving is on a brushed radial pattern that might be able to just be re-machined. I think it’s doable but no idea who to ask to do the work. Replacing the case back isn’t likely an option - it’s a limited release watch.

Anyone have any experience removing a laser engraving from case back?

It actually does a headless install. You just hit the Webserver when it’s done. -

Sorry this took a while. It's pretty easy, you just need to buy the following (there is only one "upgrade" for the RPI4, and that's the 4GB RAM version): https://www.amazon.com/Raspberry-Model-2019-Quad-Bluetooth/dp/B07TC2BK1X/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=rpi+4+4gb&qid=1588635055&sr=8-2 https://www.amazon.com/Flirc-Raspberry-Pi-Case-Silver/dp/B07WG4DW52/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=rpi+4+flirc+case&qid=1588635069&sr=8-1 https://www.amazon.com/CanaKit-Raspberry-Power-Supply-USB-C/dp/B07TYQRXTK/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=rpi+4+power+supply&qid=1588635079&sr=8-3 https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-MicroSDHC-Adapter-MB-ME32GA-AM/dp/B06XWN9Q99/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=samsung+sd+card+32gb&qid=1588635092&sr=8-1 Then follow the instructions here: https://ropieee.org/getting_started/ It just all kinda "works". It's super simple to do. I hope this helps! -
@blessingx at this point you pretty much have to make a decision and post. To assist, here is my Sinn EZM3.J

Is it possible to just buy some bells for the existing open-frame choke? Perhaps look at Edcor and on eBay.

Finally got a new humidor that I can use to transport today’s selections out to the patio. Today’s choice

Yeah, Nomos was going to be my other suggestion I also agree on the IWC stylistic notes. You might look at Alpina for something more affordable. Maybe the Startimer. I have an Alpiner 4 that I really enjoy wearing.

I use FreeNAS + Roon + Raspberry Pi 4 or Audio Cast M5 or Apple TV. The Roon Server runs on the NAS where the files are stored. I have lots of compute (Xeon E-2136), RAM (64GB) and disk resources (80TB) in a small form factor that lives in my closet. I use a Node 304 case, which is as tiny as you can get for this setup. I use the RPI4 to connect to my SACD player which has a USB input that can do DSD, and the M5 for patio speakers and a portable speaker and ATV for everywhere with a TV. I have one exception where I need something custom, which is the input to Metric Halo / Headphone rig. I am building an embedded device that will run full OSX and be the size of a RPI4 and can connect via Ethernet to the MH. It all works amazingly well. Browsing around via the library via an iPad is fun and educational. -
It feels lighter than DoubleShot Ethiopian bednatu jibicho. What would you rate it as?
-
Sony just doesn’t want to pay their bill.
-
I have a Hario Skerton I would let go if interested naaman.
-
Well, I have a lot to report but first, how can I get Roon Bridge to run without a user logged into Mac OSX? that’s my last step to solve. Oh and the heat. It’s always the heat.

Meh, the Windows 10 UAC2 driver isn't picking it up. Just get the yellow triangle under Device Manager. I just opened a Support Ticket.
-
Did a lot of messing around and this seems isolated to Linux. I am thinking about trying Windows just for fun, but this is big bummer for me. I will file a ticket and see if they will work with me to fix the issue, but almost assuredly this is a driver issue.

I'm just using a USB-C to USB-A cable, no converters. When I change it to 4 in, 4 out it goes crazy and sounds like wrong sampling rate is being used. 8 in, 8 out sounds the same as 12/12 (clicking). Is there a place to configure the max bits per sample (16-bit or 24-bit)?
-
It's regular (frequent) but doesn't seem to follow a pattern. I always hear a click within 2 seconds, many times more often in that 2 second window. I don't get the same clicks with the Ethernet connection. I can swap back and forth with the same source and it's only on USB. I don't see them on the front panel. I could look at the PSU, how did you pry it open?
-
I am definitely getting some clicking from the USB output, it doesn’t follow a pattern but I was thinking I might need to check on the clock settings?
-
Nice! Quick-pickle recipe?

What do folks think about the Ode? A bit cheaper and seems to be a decent grinder on paper.
