  1. I've been looking for a dry pisco receipe and found a combo I like. 2 oz pisco 1/2 oz lime juice 1/2 oz R&W Apricot
  2. I'm considering selling a Tek TDS1012, contingent on another purchase. It's minty and has all the original documentation, accessories and box, etc. all of which are in excellent condition. I purchased it at Fry's. Includes two Tek probes as well. I was thinking $500 shipped. Thanks!
  3. Cool! I'd look at both the power rails and the outputs at full power. I've found that you need a decent bandwidth scope to do this though. Post the traces once you get around to it
  4. Fernet and Moxie 3 oz Moxie 2 oz Fernet Branca
  5. Ace of Clubs (Esquire) 2 oz aged rum (the drink scales well, use something good) 0.5 oz Creme de cacao (white) 0.5 oz lime juice 0.5 oz simple sugar Shake the double strain! Garnish with aromatic bitters drizzles on top.
  6. It's hard to infer AC ratings from DC ratings and vice-versa though, at least that is what I've found. Regardless, unmarked wire is a dice roll in my book.
  7. well, they follow the silk on the PCB at least
  8. You do realize that we're talking, what 1.7kV Vpp here?
  9. Yup, nice performing chip. They even have four legged ones that look cool as well.
  10. I'd recommend finding something labeled by Alpha or Belden. I don't trust wire unless it has a printed rating on the sleeve. Also, you can add heat shrink or teflon to the wire if you want to be extra certain.
  11. Also, you could try swapping the two windings to see what happens...
  12. Ah, my memory is fading I'd probably put it under a load and see what the voltage does. Also, check the voltage right after the first cap, check to make sure the ripple voltage isn't insane. Check the same after the regulator. Compare to the other rail.
  13. I believe the On parts were recommended at some point in the thread, as the ones in the BOM that Kevin posted were not good. Check Inu's posts.
  14. The Boulevardier 1.5 oz bourbon 1 oz Campari 1 oz Carpano Antica Not enough Antica in this thread. Good drink, but I'm ready to step up from the Russell's...
  15. What part did you use on the positive rail? You might put it under load a bit to see what happens. Say, 50mA or so.
  16. Lucien Gaudin Cocktail One with Vya Extra Dry and one with Dolin Blanc. The Vya is better. The Blanc doesn't compliment as well as ends up being too bitter and showy. Did I ever say I like Plymouth?
  17. Fun with Sake..... 1.5 oz tequila 1.5 oz grapefruit juice 1 oz sake 0.25 oz simple syrup 3 oz sake 0.5 oz Shrubb 1 oz lemon juice 0.75 oz simple syrup I like both of these.
  18. I got some sake as well to experiment with a cocktail. Anathema I know. Any suggestions?
  19. Ok, first drink without a clever name. It's basically a Hemingway Daiquiri. 1.75 oz Wrey & Nephew overproof rum .75 oz fresh lime juice .25 oz maraschino liqueur .25 oz grapefruit juice .25 oz Campari 1 sugar cube In an old fashioned glass, muddle the cube with the lime juice. Then transfer to a shaker. Some sugar will remain. Add ingredients, except for Campari. Shake! Float Campari in drink served with crushed ice. I think this one is nice. The W&N is subdued here, but has it's original character. The Campari really adds something. Maybe remove the grapefruit juice?
  20. Peter, amazing! Probably a lot less creepy to have that camera out in nature compared to inches away from drunks desperately trying to find quorums
  21. Found one! Microchip of all people makes a nice one. .2V drop out, that's insane..
  22. Ah, thats a good possibility. Maybe a magic series resistor as well for good measure. Ah, physicists today.. Don't they have better things to be doing?
